I would like to think so, all my friends have always been male except for a couple girlfriends. Guys are alot easier to get along with in my opinion.

Now that I am gramma age, sure! I have LOTS of platonic men friends. Theyr'e mostly married, so I consider them untouchable. If any of them were to come on to me, I would consider it a deep betrayal of a valued FRIENDSHIP and cut it off. The friendship, not the anatomy. The anatomy is definitely the wife's responsibility.

I am female, and my best friend in this world is male. We have been very close for well over a decade. He is like a brother to me. We are both single. He talks to me about his dates, and I talk to him about mine. We both have had broken relationships BECAUSE of the fact that we are so close. His girlfriends do not understand that we have "nothing going" between us, and I've kicked boyfriends out the door for the same reason... jealousy when there was no need to be jealous at all.

At one point in time, the JWs accused me of having sex with him. I denied it up and down, because it was not true, their answer was"You can lie to us, but you can't lie to Jehovah". You have NO idea how that pissed me off, what a nerve!! I'm still mad when I think about it. Of course, to the JWs, it is impossible to have a close friendship with someone of the opposite sex. That is one of the things that always bothered me. Does God not promote love amongst ourselves? He did not specify that friendships should be between people of the same sex.

youre right its the jws that actually put it into everyones minds that u cant be just friends, i got stopped from pioneering several times with different brothers there was nothing in our realetionships just the elders sick minds,

id love to have some guys as just friends but its never really happened that way, dont know why.

It depends on what you mean by "friends".

If you are talking about a man and a woman who know each other and see each other every now and then at social gatherings or work, then the answer is yes.

If you are talking about a man and a woman who tend to hang out together by themselves on a frequent basis, then no. (Unless the man is gay or a pussy)
