Once you are able to effectively disprove the JW Bible, then its a piece of cake from there, at least with the "interested" ones. Defd- There is no truth in your religion, there never was, it was a lie from the very beginning, and most people are able to withstand their lies, if they dont get involved in the first place. Once a person becomes a JW then its very hard for them to leave. I educate people in the first place so that they never find themselves in a position to be taken advantage of by the JW's. Once the NWT is disproved, then there whole doctrine crumbles to the ground.

J.G. - I agree with you - but then Children are forced into a lot of crap by their parents in this world - why stop with the JW's, I would have thought that they were the least abusive people when it comes to "Bad People"...

Hi Born Again. Here is one perspective. Before I get started, I do not picket. I do other things to increase awareness, such as distribute Silent Lambs' materials by leaving them in public places, operating a web site, and writing books.

I was at death's door many times due to my mother's anti-medical beliefs. I am not kidding--yours truly almost did not live to puberty, let alone adulthood--all because of my mother's refusal of preventative and emergency care.....non-blood treatments included.

I think the value of pickets and other activism is to raise community awareness. Doing so helps people spread the word and thus more and more people are prevented from ever joining this dangerous group. Danny's response stating those JWs on the fringes (so to speak) are much more likely to be affected by picketing than the rest.........but I do believe there is much value in attracting public attention to this cult to help them stay away from it.

Personally I believe helping "strong" jws to see the facts is extremely unlikely, but it does happen. The best thing to do is to prevent people from ever joining.

Dave - I dont think you should say there is no truth in the JDubs...it can confuse people who see that there is some truth and they will think you are wrong.

There is a lot of false teachings but there is also some biblical truth and teachings as well - so just so not to confuse people its not good to say there is NO TRUTH in it - just incase they see some truth and think you are wrong about the bunch of false stuff.

Rebel8 ....yeah - I see the point now thanks for that.....I wasnt trying to disagree just set it straight in my own mind as to why people do this and if its affective. Thats why I question...to set things straight in my own mind.

The best, I think, was Yankee Stadium 1958 (I don't remember it, but I was there!) With Ethel Mermon outside the main entry singing "God Bless America!".

I like the checques for the donation box that Richie Rich and others came up with. Subtle. Left scattered around in other places like the restrooms. Tucked into bibles left on seats, etc.

Yes I agree with the above But I was a REALLY STRONG JW,made 10 people JWs...But when I said I dont believe Jesus came invisably -I was ousted with the left foot of fellowship!!!! I was devastated!!!! But I would like to send THANK YOU cards to them now..... Never been happier in all my 78 years......Even though my lovely daughter & grandkids wont talk to me.... I Pray they too will see the light. or do something to get ousted.

Regarding;apostates accused of half-truths-does this mean that one half of all apostate reams and data streams ARE TRUE?

Moreover...does this mean that only one half of Jesus had his 'invisible' second coming in 1914?Or is this a Watchtower whole lie?
