mouthy,
the protesters I saw were not preaching love but hate. Yelling things like repent, your going to hell. If that one particular protest I witnessed did anything it was probably make them stronger witnesses.

That is exactly what I said ealier in this topic on the 2nd page (I believe it does NO good. All it does is REINFORCES in us that we have the truth. Would their time and resources be better used else where? Yes, by building THEMSELVES back up and returning to Jehovah God!
that prompted all this CHRISTIAN LOVE we are experiencing right now. well said unbeliever!
The only year I remember picketers was the 1984 summer convention. I remember watching them and thinking what are they so mad about? A few years later I knew why!
dfed,
You dubs preach hate as well. As far as I am concerned you are no better than those xian fundies who scream hell and damnation. In the end it comes down to one thing, we don't worship your god xians/dubs believe we will die at armageddon/or burn in hell.

Thats fine and well, I just agreed with what you said
Last assembly i went to had a bomb scare. planted by supposed "apostates" under the stage, and in turn the building was evacuated. good times. Got a chance to go have a smoke. ;)
I remember them years ago outside of the stadium and I was curious and asked around what it was all about. The answer I was given was that they were "apostates who were trying to make a name for themselves" or words to that effect, and that we shouldn't be curious because we wouldn't want anything to deprive us of our hope, etc.
The overall impression I got was that they were like somebody who got fired from a job like a disgruntled employee and was trying to get back at the boss.
Of course, I know better now.
