I largely agree with Junction Guy.
These people obviously picket becase they are upset. Take advantage of the (Christian) Freedom's we have in a democratic society! If that's the way you feel then go for it!
Jesus was a divine being -- he just walks on water... Why would he need to picket! I think, in a way, those people near the Roman court that wanted Jesus to be killed were picketing... protesting... whatever you call it! I guess picketing is more of making a statement though. Protest can often lead to violence.
remember apostates holding signs outside the convention?

J.G. - I grew up in Australia as a JW - Im not saying that JW's dont teach this on blood and many other false things, I am saying that as a person, a human being a father of 2 and a Christian I would have given my wife, my children etc blood - I would have made that choice. I would not allow a denomination to do that for me. If I did, as many JW's do, then I am to blame not a loser organization.People blame toooooo much - if they make a bad choice based upon fear of man...Isa 51:12 and then their child or wife etc dies because of that choice - then boo hoo, you made a bad decision and allowed man to manipulate you. You cant blame man for that - what was it that Eve said again??? Its not myyyyyy fault - it was the snake....and Adam??? Its not myyyyy fault - it was that woman that you gave me....etc etc.
In life we all are to take responsibility for our own choices

And to reign in the topic again to what it was originally called.
In recent years I hadn't seen many around the convention site in Rochester Minnesota, but I remember there used to be a fairly steady group outside of the Mayo Civic Center. One year one guy had a sign that had a watchtower on it with prison bars on it. The caption said: "Feeling Trapped?"
The one I remember best was the man sitting on top of a big draft horse dressed in sackcloth (or burlap sack) and sandles. I remember thinking "cooooooool". The witnesses were trying to stream away from them.
In recent years I know that my parents had commented on the lack of picketers and theorized that it was because "they" (the apostates) couldn't be bothered to come out anymore. I don't know how many more years witnesses will continue to go to Rochester though because the venue has been harder to secure and has become more expensive to rent. (That is information from the convention overseer for the Minnesota area, not told directly from him, but through my father who is his business partner.)

Thanks for that testimony Grace, You never know what effect you can have on people, you just need to do what is right and help people in any way you can to see the real truth. There will always be those who have a certain fondness for the JW way, but you cant let them try to drag you down. I wont be brought down. I will do whatever means I can to expose the lies of the JW organization. Someone, somewhere just might thank me someday-- Well actually a few people have thanked me while I was out there picketing.

Well great born again, now when is the WT Society gonna start taking responsibility? Your personal responsibility theory runs both ways.

She came to PA convention "Witnesses Now For Jesus: Brought another with her -whos daughter had died because she would not take the blood -Now this sister was out to tell folks it is MANS law that forbids blood. GOD said there is LIFE in the Blood -so why not pump in some life when life is ebbing out of the body????HUH??? tell me why????Of course the WT wants you to be loyal to THEM & Die ......

To Born-Again, Wait a second! We are talking about JW's! They control every facet of your life. And if you take blood, it's like your disfelloweshipped. Shun you. Go away sort of thing.... They make people feel guilty like as if they killed 10 million people or something...
