Hey Grace, just to let you know, Sybil will be at the convention this year, and she will also be joining us at the Brooklyn Rally, so if you think you might wanna give it a shot one last time, then you would be more than welcome to join us on the bus that thursday morning. You could even go along and watch us do the picketing, and give us some advice. Either way I feel priviledged to meet you at the conference.

For the other 2 highly suspicious ones there that say Im still a JW - whatever....
I have left 2 years ago - been born again and I attend a charismatic church in Australia - 4 square gospel.
I love all people - even JW's....my goal is to witness to as many as possible in a loving manner. Thats how I got saved - a loving Christian (AOG) witnessed to me while I was at her door.

Hey Inquirer, I agree with your post, we need to do this democratically and contact our lawmakers and get laws passed that revoke tax exempt status to organizations that use high pressure tactics such as shunning to allow children to die and be molested, but first we need to get the attention of the media, and to do that the best thing is to picket. Our lawmakers need to see us on TV and realize there is a problem to begin with. I could probably go and visit with a lawmaker if I tried hard enough, but the fact remains that most lawmakers as with most people dont fully comprehend the damage that the WT does to people's lives. I would most likely get the brush off from a politician, unless they had some kind of awareness of the JW life, this is where the picketing works, it garners national media attention.

yeah - I see your point mouthy....thanks for the clarification - I agree with you. Mouthy I dont have a WT mind - I have a free thinking mind and that is why I questioned the facts about picketting. Thanks for your answer - but if I cant think different to you are you acting any different to WT?? I agree with you now you have answered - I just picket in a different way - I witness to them when they are at my door or where ever I meet with them.
