Information suppression is when you don't tell someone pertinent information because you decide it is best that they just don't know about it. For example I didnt know about 1975 until the early 90s. I also didnt know about John 1:1 till the mid 90s.
My mom knew about these things the whole time of course. Information suppression is a form of deception but it is passive enough to not get the designation of deception as long as the person comes clean and admits it is true without trying to conceal it once it is known.
I have seen the look of shock on the face of my aunt when debating my uncle about scripture. He simply gave her a reluctant nod of his head as he closed his eyes. That is an example of information suppression. Knowing full well that someone would be effected by information that you know and have every responsibility to tell them when it pertains to such an important aspect of someone's life and future.
