JWs gladly benefit from war yet refuse to honour the dead

as i learn more about the borg i am continually shocked by what i discover.

i knew early on that they were pacifists but i had no idea that this included not honouring (or dishonouring) those that have died under war conditions.

i find it so hypocritical that the dubs are quite happy to benefit from the principles (ie freedom, liberty, justice, etc) that these men & women fought for & yet refuse to pay tribute to them.

a friend (and fellow scuba diver) brought me some fresh scallops, tonight - so fresh they were still in the shells.. i fried them with some mushrooms.. now i'm enjoying some fresh bread - boy do i love bread!.

Does Jesus being the "Son of God" mean that he is not God by nature ?

in reading a lot of the posts, and in trying to digest all the teachings and then changes in teachings, it makes me wonder, does the church have preachers who have gone to a school and studied scripture?

or do they just study the wbts publications?

there are lots of seminaries where christian preachers study but are there wbts seminaries?

i have been lurking for a few days and wanted to ask a question.

i stumbled on this website because i have an aquaintance who is a jw and i wanted to learn more about this religion.. first off, let me say that i am a christian.. my question is this: in reading a lot of posts, i see that many of you have left the religion because you believe the wbts has not been truthful in their interpretation of scriptures and because of their incorrect prophecies.

but it seems many of you still believe that they were correct in their belief that the trinity is totally a wrong teaching.
