  CYP has a good point. What exactly IS the body count?

  A minimum can be calculated simply by reading the Index of WT publications. On top of that are the others whose death certificates say 'leukaemia' - maybe transfusion would have kept them alive long enough for the chemo to work - 'stabbing' ( had they taken blood they would still be here) - 'haemorrhage' (again the root cause, but a BT could have saved them) I reckon the Jonestown cult killed far far fewer. Cygnus - there are what ? 200 or more countries in the world. Even if only one JW died in each one once a month that is 2400 a year - already way beyond the Kool Aid tragedy.

  Blondie I really enjoyed this weeks critique.

  "WTS reality changes all the time" I am going to use that one!!

  As for Hubby saying anout the lurve - I have put my books on a seat, only to find that the person I would have been next to has mysteriously moved to another row. Since I bathe regularly and wear clean underwear dare i assume they just don't want to be near me?

  In 20 years I can count on one hand how often I have been received hospitably.

  I thought of this while sitting through "Ben Hur". All the happenings, darkness, earthquakes, curtain rent in twain (and WHO exactly reported that?)would have to have been precisely orchestrated to terrorize the on lookers.

  Similarly, at the nativity, angels singing in the sky? Sound does not travel in a vacuum, so what sort of music DO angels sing? The world is full of many musical styles, whoever put this show together produced music the shepherds found pleasant. If they had been a buch of bikers would the angels have been doing heavy metal or thrash to keep them happy?

  The burning bush. The conjuring tricks during the ten plagues. God appearing to Moses. (I thought if God was all powerful he would be able to let Moses see him and protect him from being sizzled - he did it with Shadrach Meshach and Abednego.)

  So on and so on.

  My conclusion is that if Armageddy is going to be anything like what the WTS says, it will be a huge display of artificial special effects, deliberately designed by God to terrorize children and parents and others, before they die.

  for years the wts said that the length of the great tribulation would be cut short on account of the annointed.. the wt study on the "given ones" said that the other sheep would have no need to fear after the anointed are all dead because god will protect them.

  ( this must be before the end, otherwise why do they need protection) others have shown from study articles that the wt now says all the anointed will be in heaven prior to armageddy.

  if this is the case, the tribulation cannot possibly pose a threat to the anointed.

  That Wt from 2000 is new light to me. The point about the anointed being in heaven before Armageddy, was in a June WT from the early to mid 90s.

  Of course certain doctrines shuffle around along with the rotation of the various committees at Brothel.

  Low Low Low Self Esteem

  man, if i don't solve this problem i'm gonna be dead one way or another.. i know i need to build self esteem.

  i am focusing on bringing things into my life that i find real fulfillment in.. i had little fulfillment as a witness.

  really only the pleasure i got from bible studies, of which i really only had about 10 real ones of.

  Get Julia Cameron's book "The Artists Way" - AND DO WHAT SHE SUGGESTS.

  It is now being used by therapists, because once the issues this book deals with start to resolve, as she said in an interview with the "Shambala Sun" the craziness starts to go away all by itself.

  I say you should learn to read the words first from the greek, even if you don't understand them.

  Then go to a night class in New Testament Greek, or find out if you can study it online. I live in a Universtiy town, so I took a night class. What a revelation! You will never accept some of FF's arguments again.

  part of me wishes i had the time to di that, but i have friends who do it, and i think i would freak out trying to be kind and understanding to a desperate wife who wants to die because her husband beats her up and raped her children.

  has anyone here tried this sort of work?
