Update On Husband Troubles
by Doubtfully Yours insince i burdened you all with my marriage problems earlier, i thought it'd be only fair that i should give you all an update of how things are going.
i feel that my husband and i love eachother very much, but he's so conflicted and divided because his loyalty towards the wtbts is so strong.. we reconciled, cried a lot and had a heart-to-heart talk, long and elaborate.
let all our thoughts and frustrations out in the open.

DY, I was really happy to hear that you and your hubby had a heart to heart and are working things out. I do agree with the other 2 ladies. Please be cautious. Councelling does sound really good. Even just for yourself if need be. I wouldn't talk to the elders at all. Your business is your business, it's none of theirs. You can always use the excuse that you aren't feeling well if they try to contact you. You did mention some health issues before. I hope it all works out for you. Please live to be happy, don't stay in the religion for somebody else. I did that my whole life for my Mom and sister. It won't make you happy. Subtly telling him bits and pieces here and there about the ORG. would be a way to try to plant some seeds of doubt in your hubbys mind. All the best to you. (((((hugs))))))Redhotchilipepper

Are You SURE JWs Don't Have The Truth???
by minimus inhas anyone here ever questioned whether or not they made the right decision to leave the "truth"?......i'm sure glad i'm out!
-

I have no doubts in my mind at all or my heart for that matter that the JW ORG/CULT does not know or have the truth!!! They're too busy walking around in their own dog shit to know what's, what. Let alone to even consider what is TRUTH!

How do you feel about death?
by 3rdEye inhi all, forgive me and my n00bness if this has been discussed, or if i started this thread in the wrong place.
how does everyone feel about death, and what happens to you afterward?
do you still believe what the wts teaches?

I was always afraid of death but not anymore. I just hope that and my goal is to live my life to the fullest before I do actually die. I am starting to believe more in Reincarnation, actually!

I'm glad to hear that you reunited with your old friend. Give it time. You did well in talking to him. Hopefully he will think about what you said, digest it and come back with some questions. The deprogramming process might be beginning. You go girl.

should i move out?
by crizlee inmy situation is getting worse, i told my parents im going to move out in 6 months once i turn 18 whether i get to go to college or enlist into the navy.
my over zealous mom says that i can move out tomorrow.
now i have lots of friends at school, ive only hung out with few not that long but ive known em forever, should i burden them with me asking to move in with them?

Crizlee: I agree with Valis as well. Boy we're all backing him tonight, aren't we. Go Valis. I wouldn't stay at home. The environment sounds too negative for you. Your education should be your top priority. Enlisting would be a good experience I'm sure. Travel, save some money, and serve your country. I agree with Karategirl, try not to move around from friends places too much. Stability is always a good thing. You'll need that to concentrate on your studies. A part time job before you take the plunge of moving out would probably be advisable. Maybe instead of 6 months, if that time frame seems too long for you, try 3 months. That would be a mental happy medium for you and you could save some money at the same time. It would be nice to leave on good terms with the folks. I know it's hard but I'm sure they love you and just want what they think/feel is best for you. Even if we know it isn't, right? ((((hugs)))) RHCP- Let us know what you decide.

According to the JW's "Armageddon will be here before then" so aging doesn't matter right. Sorry, on a more serious note. That was very interesting. What next eh?

Marriage question
by starfish422 ini have a question for those who got married in a jw ceremony, or who became jws after being married.
did the elder marrying you, or those studying with you, counsel you as to what forms of sexual intercourse are acceptable within jehovah's loving organization(tm)?
just having a "discussion" of sorts on another board and i'm being challenged by a dutiful jw wife.
