  Disfellowshipping question

  i have heard a rumor that an elder or former elder was disfellowshipped because none of his siblings (6) baptized and all left the witlesses when they turned 18.. is it possible?

  i'm afraid to ask anyone who may have knowledge of it because they will tell someone i had asked.. djk, of the leader of the pack class.

  My father was "removed" from his role, can't remember what it was, because of my dfing. But not likely anyone would get the boot for their kids choices... on the other hand, don't most dubbies and other Xtians thing we are responsible for what old Adam ate in the garden? carmel

  Could PBRs prove flood wasn't worldwide?

  pbrs (precariously balanced rocks),accoring to an article innew scientist,studies suggest some have been in their present position for 10,500 years.. a worlwide flood would have dislodged them ron their positions..

  i have more fun, but since i grew up as a jw, some things will never happen.

  i'll never sleep around, take drugs, smoke, but i do enjoy swearing!

  i love having a more normal relationship with the people i work with and it's funny to talk about what i used to believe (they never knew the half of it!

  when i was studying, the sister who studied with me was a pioneer and as "righteous-overmuch" as they come!

  i wasn't even baptized and she was already pressuring me to pioneer since i didn't work.

  nevermind that i had three little girls all under 4!!!.

  Is your goal to have the shunning stop? If you limit it to that, a straigt forward discussion about hypocracy with misses "sex addicted" may just do some good in having her become more humble and to have her change her posture with your sister. Beyond that anything you do will have unintended consequences for the innocent. Not a burden you wll enjoy! carmel

  Miller wasn't the only Christian who concluded the "return" would occur in the mid-19th century. There were others in Europe who shared the same enthusiasm for the exigetics adumbrated by Miller. Couriously, other religions also had eschatological renderings that converged with Millers' time frame. The year 1260 AH in the Muslim lunar calendar falls exactly on 1844 and that is 1000 years after the dissapearance of the child Imam, who was to "return" as the Quim (sp?). The return of the Buddha and Chrisna are interestingly enough to take place with similiar stories.... Curiouser and curioser... carmel

  i was trying to find the bible verse that said "help my unbelief" and with my concordance found the following verse: romans 11:25:32. before i quote the scripture i want to relate an experience i had about five years ago.
