me and a friend of mine are not invited, because of supposedly being "marked" (didn't even know about that) and inactive.
the funny part is that the bride's parents are "marked" and inactive too.. but then i attended weddings where even the groom's brother didn't show up to not lose his "privilege" of ministerial servant.... the other one who isn't invited says he doesn't care, as he knew it'll go that way.

it appears to me that even in the few months that i have been here there is less and less emphasis on jehovah's witnesses and anything remotely related to jws and more very poor posts about politics, foreign affairs and celebrities.
i can't omit the juvenile sex ones, which i find lacking in erotic nature.
it seems the 6th grade boys are meeting in the locker room.. the posts that involve jws have a very different tone from the drivel posted on others.
Are some of you shallow that you can not tolerate a divergent view?

a few months ago i got a little french press from a thrift shop but i never used it.
last weekend i went to visit a good friend for a few days and i got my chance to use my little french press because my dear friend doesn't have a coffee maker which is kinda strange cuz he loves coffee just as much as i. .
I've never tried one but I may now. I'm always in search of the perfect cup of coffee. I'm still upset that my roaster gave up the ghost. I enjoyed roasting my own beans.

Your title is appropriate. What happened here goes beyond the watchtower shunning policy. If they were supposed to shun you, they shouldn't have sent you an invitation in the first place. This was a deliberate attempt to publicly grind your face in the dirt, and maybe even get a gift in the process. Unfortunately, JWs are notorious for this kind of behaviour.

i'm going to my parents for this long weekend, along with my boys, my aunt and her twin boys (same age as my oldest), and our pup.
will be a busy and bustling weekend, seeing as the basement recently flooded, so that area is now off-limits.
so for the next five days, the four and a half hour drive tomorrow is going to be the only quiet time i think i'm going to get, lol.. however, my mother is going to have a big pot of homemade chili waiting for us... and that alone would be worth the drive and the craziness :).

Here's a scan of it. Please don't blame the size of the scan on me. I sent my sister a printed copy and she scanned it and put it on her facebook page. I have no idea why she made it this small. One thing I do that's different is at the end of the recipe. When making the sugar-water solution I bring the water to a boil before adding the sugar, and I'll disolve as much sugar as it will take. A hot liquid will disolve more sugar and give a shinier finish on the finished product.

its not easy being an introvert in an extrovert worldespecially when youre a kid.
it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.
this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .
Guess what I do for vacations? I stay home. I hang out with my bird, work around the house, try new recipes, etc. Anything but go out in public. I don't need to go away to enjoy a vacation. I just need to stay away from people.
