i have the outline over here, but its a talk that i'm sure will now have to undergo some serious modification.
the talk itself (imho) was far more balanced than the current line from the watchtower.. has that happened before, that a talk has to be pulled or reworked?.

And then they turn around and use that to prove the dangers of higher education. See, we told you brothers this lawyer (sarcastic inflection) doesn't want to join up. That's because his mind has been poisoned in that devil school he went to.
this is a movement which has been growing slowly but steadily among young people in spanish and portuguese speaking congregations in the united states.
basically it is a movement created by winesses who believe in much of the teachings of the organization, but do not believe in the authority of the wts, or any other body.
they also do not believe in disfellowshiping, and believe that every decision should be a personal conscience matter.
That sounds very nice, unfortunately you will have little effect on the WTS. They are a totalitarian society, and like all other dictatorships in history they will crush any rebellion to their authority.
My advice is to keep your head down, otherwise they will take your family and friends from you.

these 15 [i think, i lost track] men do not set the lead too well do they?
other than a few hours required at the boardroom table on wednesdays, why can't they 'buy out the time' they are telling the flock to 'buy out' ?
The real point is that the act of "counting time", is non-scriptural.
i didn't attend the meeting today and i haven't spoken to any fellow witnesses about the study yet.

Ironicly, I'm writing this reply from my college English class.
The WT stand on higher education is total BS, and reaks of control, not love. I hope that many JW's decide to buck the system and attend college anyway. When I look back on how much I could have already accomplished, had I gone to college right out of high school, I't really ticks me off.

after many months of letting the junk pile up, me and my husband set out to tackle cleaning up the garage today so that i could start parking my car in there again as the cold weather is coming.. as we were working he said to me "okay these jehovah's witnesses books have to go".
when we first moved in three years ago, i had taken all of my jw books and put them into a storage container out in the garage.
at that point i felt like i was betraying jehovah if i threw out the books.. well three years later and i said "okay, but first we must rip out my name out of them all".
we ripped out the first page and just threw them all in the recycling bin (its full now)
What a great idea! Now that JW paper can be put to good use. Maybe it will be turned into college books, so the youth of non cult children can get a good education, or perhaps toilet paper, so that everybody can feel better. Maybe it will become packaging on some new toy for Christmas.
Whatever it becomes, it will serve a grander purpose than before!

My wife related a few key points from the last DC and the fall special assembly day.
The society is hammering home one main point: OBEY!
There was a lot of counsel to follow the lead of the local elder bodies and the FDS. My wife, who is still a devout JW, said she was sickened by the amount of times the FDS was mentioned compared to how many times Jehovah and Jesus where mentioned.
They are again condemming college, and holding up full time pioneer service as the only option to youths. What a crock of shit that is!
Basicly their incoming numbers are down and people are leaving, so it's time to circle the wagons and ratchet up the rhetoric.
i dont think i will ever understand it, i mean why would someone want to be so much of a hypocrit(doesnt apply to everyone) ?.
it seems to me that most jw's are into themselves and stupid relationships.
if someone is talking its about one of those two things.
The "JW lifestyle" is totally self consumed. They say they are concerned for others, when in fact they are only concerned about how others can make them look better among their JW bretheren. They say they love their children, but even this has limits. A child must be diciplined out of love, especially when that child is embarrasing you in front of other JW's. It is improper for a child to be a child at meetings or conventions, such childish outbursts could seriously affect a father's chances of making MS or elder. They say they love their families, and to show such love they spiritualy stone you to death for minor infractions, all so that you will remember the love of the Christ, as shown by our spiritual mother, the FDS.
JW's are a herd of stupid cows walking down a path. The path encircles a vast mountain, and every year the cows complete another circle around it. They foolishly tell themselves that they are walking down a narrow path leading to eternal salvation. However, in the end, they are just a herd of foolish cattle walking in circles that lead them right back to where they started. There is no JW salvation, only a never ending path to walk and other foolish cows to try and impress.
That is they JW lifestyle.

our choice not to attend the recent homecoming party for the 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines. As you know, we are Jehovah's Witnesses and are neutral as to the political and military affairs of the world. We base our beliefs on Scriptures such as John 17:14, 16, Matthew 5:43, 44 and Matthew 26:52 among others. This means we are neither for nor against the political involvements of the 200-plus nations that we can be found in.
To truly be "neither for nor against" involvement in the military, why would they care what anybody else did as regards military service? By taking the stand they do, JW's show that they are decidedly *against* military service. This violates the principle of nuetrality. JW's express an understanding of what nuetrality means, but they fail to live up to this understanding. By dissassociating and shunning members who choose to serve their country, JW's are taking a stand. They aren't nuetral at all; they are against war and the military.
A truely nuetral person wouldn't care either way.
