  Just Married!

  well me and megan are all married now.. we had an amazing day, the weather was perfect and of course the baby was there in a way (inside its ma').

  mum unfortunately missed it because she was in hospital from thursday, so next year were renewing vows to give her the opportunity to see something similar to what we did yesterday.. thanks for your support here everyone, love karl (and megan).. .

  LOL Ninja - even before I entered this thread I guessed you'd be posting, but about your mother-in-law in your wedding video.

  I love Godzilla too but my favourite(s) is probably the Predator. As a kid though, deffo the Daleks.

  The Hyena - Testament to a Grand Creator! No, wait....

  what a masterful example of jehovahs's loving kindness and wisdom is the hyena.. most carefully jehovah designed the birth canal of the female hyena to abruptly do a 140 degree turn just before the normal place of exit for the birth canal and change direction back to the head of the mother.

  the birth canal then ends in what is generally referred to as a female pseudo-penis, a narrow tube exiting the body exactly where the male penis does.. .

  when the young hyena mother first gives birth, most times the young get stuck around the bend or lower down in the tight "penis", where they suffocate and die.

  laura schlessinger is a radio personality who dispenses advice to people who call in to her radio show.

  recently, she said that, as an observant orthodox jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to leviticus 18:22 and cannot be condoned under any circumstance.

  this is something that has always striked me as being odd.

  most, if not virtually all jws i know give more praise to the fds(governing body) than they do jesus christ.

  it can even make you sick sometimes to hear the fds being mentioned so much.

  Yes they are far from discreet. Do they realise what the dictionary definition of discreet is?

  If world leaders started talking out against the JWs then the latter would see this as fulfillment of prophecy and a (yawn) sign of the end

  I'd like people to be simply more informed about JW practices such as shunning and the confused and lethal blood doctrine. Other than that I think indifference to them counteracts their own sense of self importance and uniqueness.

  Just wanted to add something else to what the other posters have said. The Americans are brilliant at marketing. From over here it seems that interest in religion in the US is maintained through every possible marketing angle. I know it's self perpetuating but I really do think it's a factor. Advertising works!

  Then again. Speaking of advertising, we have Charles Darwin on our £10 note.

  How many Dubs REALLY want the end to come?

  many of the dubs i know don't really want the end to come.

  sure, they like the idea of youth in perpetuity, good health, no death, peace.... who doesn't?

  they want those things to end.. but in their heart of hearts, do you really think they actually long for the destruction of other human beings that are so graphically depicted in the pubs?.

  Blondie in the New World you describe, only the Amish would be prepared for it. Maybe Jehovah could keep them on as consultants?

  I used to think about these matters a lot when I expected it to be my future, and I satisfied myself that there would be a lot of 'extra terrestrial' assistance which we could have no knowledge of in this time. I expected a perfect climate, no disease or pests, so growing stuff would be easy, probably with fruit and veg being huge, a la Woody Allen's Sleeper. Clothes? Well maybe we'd get a uniform of some kind which would never wear out: possibly in the style of our country or culture. :0)

  As far as travel was concerned, horses would be fine and my loved ones would all be relatively close in a local community. Travel however could (I imagined) be facilitated by teleportation. Yep, Jehovah would sort it all out as he'd promised a paradise, not a journey back to the stone age.
