  congratulations to justitia themis on all her hard work at putting herself through law school.

  after being raised in the watchtower organization and having survived all of what that entails she has picked up the pieces, analyzed her strengths and has made choices to better herself and the community.. .

  so given the amount of focus on things that we can be angry or upset about, or how we have been wronged or abused.... i thought it was time for a bit of a change.. how about sharing some fun experiences?!!

  ok, i will start.

  i promised, in my opening post the other day, that i would share some that have happened over the years.

  I used to live in a BIG city with about a dozen KHs. A friend of mine was looking for her sister who has mental issues/schizophrenia and was on and off the streets in my area. For a time we heard she was studying and attending one of the halls. My friend had a contact in the hall who I guess was looking after the less fortunate in the congregation. One time my friend specifically thank her for her efforts in looking after her sister and others less fortunate. The sister said:

  "Well, we gotta a whole row of em."

  The Night Stalker, dead at 53.

  richard ramirez died in prison of "natural causes".. those of us living in southern california in the 80's will never forget the unbelievable series of night time break-ins, raping and murdering his victims, starting with his first murder of a 79 woman followed by raping her body.. he was sentenced to death.

  25 years later he dies of nat.

  causes under the free medical care provided by the taxpayers he terrorized.. .

  The whole city was on edge before they caught that nutcase. He died 30 years too late in my book.

  i have served 20 years as an elder, 5 years as an ms. was on the district committee in 2010, held various positions on the district , circuit, and rbc level.

  probably been on more than 100 judicial committees and even an appeals committee.

  was the coordinator in our congregation and deleted because adult child was df ( i kicked him out at the time of his wrongdoing, but that wasn't enough for thr brothers).

  Help me in my quest to free my sister

  hi there everyone, looking for some advice on helping my sister who is studying the bible with a jehovahs witnesses to escape.

  shes been studying for over a year now and attends meetings occasionally.

  i have been looking for a way to help her for a while now and the answer fell into my lap last week, during her study last week she mentioned that her son was going to a birthday party.

  Hi Ed,

  Keep on the subject of the child. As mentioned, "If JW's can get so upset over children's birthday parties...what else?" We'll tell you.

  If the son EVER wants to:

  join a club, play a sport, go to college, go to dances, (among many things) it will be looked upon in the same manner. They are needless rules to keep control of the congregation. But it will strangle the life out of a childhood.

  Make sure she understands this...the birthday conversation is JUST the beginning. Seriously.

  My Grammy passed away this morning...

  she was 88 years old and the foundation of my life.

  she will be sadly missed by me and everyone whose lives she has touched.. .
