Have you ever had this feeling that your body wants something, but you can't figure out what it is? I mean like is food, a vitamin, a drink, something? I have this feeling a lot. I'll smoke a cigarette. That's not it. Then I'll eat something that's not it. I just can't figure it out? What is that?
That happens to me when my routine is disturbed when my life gets out of whack and I'm trying to reestablish my equilibrium. I would call it stress. Thats my take on it. Then again I've heard some people say, your trying to fill a hole that only God can fill.jaguarbass

do you agree with this statement by the org?
by PaNiCAtTaCk inthis was taken off the jw-media website
conscience
jehovah's witnesses avoid making rules and regulations beyond those provided in the scriptures, and they do not follow traditions that contradict bible teachings.

by pippy inwhat on earth can you do when you r fatther keeps asking why you are not going to meetings,, my dad asks me every time i see him, .
i told my dad and mum that i didnt want to go back, that i didnt agree with the way i was treated, and everyother person ever to be on the wrong side of the fence.
he tells me i am bitter, and i should only think about nice things, and not dwell on the negative.

If my father was 84, I'd be 64, If thats the case with your father I'd say you better do what he says, because if your 64 years old and worried about pleasing your father by going to the meetings you got more problems than going to the meetings. If your under 18 their may be hope for you. How can you be under 18 and your father be 84? How old is your mother?

Signs of the Times -- New Orleans, Thailand, God, or Accident?
by Morocco ini've heard some people say that what happened to new orleans was an act of god a punishment from a higher power as the consequence of their sins.
perhaps the tsunami that happened in thailand those years ago was also an act of god.
we can go on and on about what could and what couldn't be acts of god but we won't.

I've heard some people say that what happened to New Orleans was an act of God – a punishment from a higher power as the consequence of their sins. Perhaps the tsunami that happened in Thailand those years ago was also an act of God. We can go on and on about what could and what couldn't be acts of God but we won't. The question is: do you think these things occur because of God's will or not? Why do you believe this? If there is a God, If he is anything like the God of the bible, then he allows it. So I would say it is his will. Especially if he knows the begining from the end, If he is God he knows the future. As far as New Orleans goes the people there built there city in a saucer below sea level. You could say by their ignorance they were asking for it or tempting fate. Also the Tsunami in Thailand these people were all living close to the water. To live in these places probably isnt good common sense. God is an acronym for good orderly direction. The people living in these places were not following good orderly direction. So is there a God? Is he helpless, unable to control the enviroment? If so he is not much of a God. If he can control the enviroment and chooses not to then by the sin of ommision it would be his will what ever he allows.

nebver had a prayer answered in my 35 years of service in the congregation
That seems odd. George Carlin the commedian says that you have a 50/50 chance of getting your prayers answered. What are you praying for a million dollars to fall out of the sky?

by megsmomma inthat is what my mom told me when i got bit by a brown recluse spider.. i was in ohio, visiting my daughter and my mom was there trying to convert me back.

That wasnt a very nice thing for your mother to say. Desperate people do desperate things. She is desperate for you to rejoin the cult.
