  HELP Needed in custody case!

  i received a letter last night (as many of you did) about a particular.

  custody battle being fought by a poster on this board.. she just found out that she lost custody of her 3 children to her jw ex, despite the fact that they are in danger of being exposed to a pedophile relative through this man.. i am asking anyone who may know anything about setting up a legal defense fund (or anyone who knows about utah custudy law/ lawyers in utah) to please respond to this post.

  time is of the essence, the girls have already gone back to their father today.

  I need help! I'm losing my wife!

  my wife is becoming a witness and i've found very little that i can do to stop her!

  i've tried to show her that the wt does not quote correctly, i've talked to her about past beliefs and i've tried to reason with her about the bible.

  but she won't listen!.

  I recommend arming yourself with as much info from these sites as you can remember or get her to look at:

  Also follow the advise of the others here. Print out posts, Get her Crisis of Conscience, and have her look at this site if you can to see the carnage that the WT has left in its wake.

  i am bill's wife.he just called me from washington and told me to let you all know that erica won her case today!.

  that sick child molesting bastard is in jail now as we speak.. his sentencing is set for september 24th i think.. one down many more to go.. thanks to all who have supported this cause.. sheila

  Hurrah!

  I am so happy for this victory, and cheering that the media was there to record it! There is no way that the Society can deny that!

  I want to say too, that I swear I'm feeling a sense of justice and a nod of approval from my friend Ed, "Winston Smith" who I know was working in the cause of researching cases for silentlambs in his area.
  Wherever you are now, Ed, I know you're rejoicing with us in this victory for justice.

  Sheila, I want to echo Randy's remarks to you. I think of you often, and always send my best wishes and hugs to you whenever I write to Bill. We are all very aware of the stresses on your family because of the noble work that you are doing, and I want you to know that you are regarded as nothing less than heroes.

  Any respect for organized religion ?

  i was wondering other peoples views on organized religion since they left the organization ?.

  me personally i think all religions started off with one mans interpatation of the bible and i'm not going there again.

  Hi Friendorfoe,

  I have to say that I'm in the same camp you are. Every religion that I've had interest in, Christian or not, when it comes to the organization and leadership part, I find I just can't tolerate it.

  After the Borg, I can't ever see myself belonging to an organized religion again, and that's just fine by me. I don't feel a need for it.

  "Please, Is there really truth anywhere of...

  i want to know what truth" is if its out there some where surely god will guide me to find it, i don't want to die without honestly knowing for sure knowing i have found the so called "truth.

  i have been stumbled by others and by my selfish ways.

  in the words of the song "send me an angel," cause i sure need one.. maybe i am not of their sort as the bible says and as elders have labeled me, but i do want to live and exist somewhere, and see the light what ever and where ever it is.

  That's why, if I sense a core of goodness in a person (especially online since I have much less to lose), that's what I'll focus on the most. I just want to grant others the chance that I once longed to have granted to me. "But what if you end up wasting your efforts?" Yes, that could happen. But what have I really lost? I get to feel good for having done what I believe to be the right thing, and if that person wastes his chance, I never even have to acknowledge his existence again. That's the beauty of the Internet: you can get close and still keep your distance.

  What an intriguing post! I agree with the others who say it shows great courage to speak so frankly. The quote above puts very eloquently the same feeling I get from the work I do online. Just the thought of helping someone open their mind a tiny crack to let new ideas in is all the incentive I need to keep writing.

  The pleading tone of your post just about broke my heart. Especially this part:

  Shane, honey, you are not ANYTHING that those MEN have labled you.

  I won't go at you with a lot of religious philosophy with you, because truthfully, after all I saw in the Borg any organized religion leaves me nauseated. It works well for some, but not for me.

  The only truth you need to worry about is listening to your own heart. I know that may sound too simplistic, but I really believe it's the one truth we all have in common.

  Deep inside, if we become still enough in our own thoughts and can listen to our souls, we each know what we need. We each come to our own understanding of "God" and the Universe as it makes sense to us.

  Each human is individual so why should anyone expect a perfect spiritual fit to come from the dictates of other humans?

  If you're still struggling with the "Truth" and worrying that you'll die at Armageddon for question the elders, please read Crisis of Conscience by Ray Franz. That will help to end your guilt about not fitting into the mold of the Elders.

  I have heard great things about the book Releasing the Bonds by Steven Hassan, but have not read it yet myself. It's on my to do list. Many speak very highly of it.

  Myself, personally I have benefitted from reading The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukov, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, and MOSTLY from reading Life Strategies by Dr. Phil McGraw. These books have helped me learn how to listen to my heart and find my way after the Borg.

  Please hang in there. Don't give up. Keep talking, we're listening.
