It would be a good idea to bring a tape recorder, especially when they talk about family, and what they think and say about non JWs. It will show that they think that the whole world is corrupt and under the control of Satan. You'll need them when you get in a custody battle. They will claim freedom of religion and that they teach wholesome values. They even have a booklet to prepare witnesses about what to do in case of a custody battle. If you become a witness and cut off your friends and family, you'll be at the losing end. They will back her up, and you'll have no one on your side. Start documenting everything and taking your children with you to a fun place when she goes to meetings.
There is a poster here named Blondie that posts the following Watchtower meetings with questions to ask. You can ask them since you are only "an interested party".

I was a JW myself, but it was not until after I left that my neighbor told me that my driveway was full of cars while I was at work. I always wondered how a family of four would spend 250 a week on groceries, especially since she, even though did not work, only fed me once a day on weekdays and never on weekends. Even while I was a JW she was sneaking behind my back and feeding the whole crowd! As a male, I would never go into a house if the husband was not there, but women are sneakier.
Don't buy into this morally (meaning sexually) cleaner b*ll sh*t. Whenever my ex used to tell me that, I would shoot back that they don't publish statistics, but judging from her own family and mine, it was not true. My only JW aunt had two daughters. One of them, a married one, was found naked in a motel with three men. She had been disfellowshipped twice before for adultery. She has three brothers. Two of them were JW and one of them was an elder. Both were disfellowshipped for adultery. The elder one with a minor only three years older than his first-born. My JW neighbor was divorced three times because his wives, all "sisters," were unfaithful to him. He only caught them because he secretly taped his phone. She would answer that they are not JWs at the time, but I would tell her that that was no excuse because they did it while they were in the cult, and therefore being in the cult is no garantee of marital fidelity.
On a related area, a year ago my daughter came while I was watching a specil Dateline program about the pedophilia cover-up issue on the JWs. She started to become upset. When I asked her why she told me that her mother had asked her 18 times (yes, I guess she was counting them) if I ever molested her, her own father, but never asked about any of the "brothers". That is how brainwashed these people are. She knows I am always home, never was unfaithful, even to this date I have never been out socially with a woman, to which I have a right since we are divorced. Yet she dared to question my integrity to my daughter but never about a JW!

Why religion is allowed to peddle it's propaganda in schools is beyond me. The time spent on that could be much better spent on useful subjects like logic and reasoning.
Actually, I was raised in Catholic schools, except for seventh grade. We were taught logic on the last year of preparatory school. This was not the mathematical symbol logic taught in uic, but more of a classical Greek logic.
I don't think that logic and reasoning will ever be taught in public schools. People would start questioning their governments too!

Actually I was taken aback at first, but on second thought, as a soldier you would believe in protecting the constitution first. The thing about abortion is a little hard to swallow from you. Most Christians would not support it.
I am an agnostic, but believe in fetuses as living human beings who happen to have respired through the umblical cord all their life instead of using their lungs, so I still lean against it except in cases of rape or endangerement to the life of the mother. On the other hand, I am a male, and since I don't have these problems and I am unable to help support those babies all their lives, I cannot judge them.
I also know that if those babies are unwanted, their mothers and fathers, (they weren't brought to this world by the mother alone, you know) will make their resentment known in the majority of the cases).
My answer to the abotion issue is a definitively undecided.

Although, I think I could get some angry parents which could endanger my job. What to do?
It is against the law to teach anything for or against a particular religion. There are many reasons why a child cannot or will not recite the pledge. There are many students from foreign students who are not citizens, and should not be forced to say the pledge. It would be contrary to your nationality. How would you like it if your parents took you to another country and you were forced to be loyal to that country?
When I recite the pledge, I omit the words I don't believe in.
My pledge:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, (silence, I don't believe in god), (silence. America is divided) with liberty, and justice (silence. there is no justice for all)
I say this because when I was drafted into the army, the officers or non'coms would ask me for my swearing in date. I told them I was never sworn in. They said it was impossible, I could not be in the army without being sworn-in. I would tell them to check my record folder. Their jaws would drop. Right there in the middle was a sheet stating to that fact. A yellow sheet marked to be in a prominent clearly stated that I was never to be admitted as an officer, be in classified areas, or go to war zones because I had refused to be sworn in. The reason for that is that I dropped my hand when it came for me to repeat ... against any and all nations... I told them I could not say that because I was a Mexican National. That I would say it if the words "except Mexico" would be included. They consulted their rules books, and told me that since I had already given a step forward, I was already inducted but that the solution would be to include the yellow sheet already mentioned. I agreed, and was inducted.
I find it funny that children are made to repeat the pledge, but this is not mandatory in college in this country or in Mexico.
Loyalty comes from the heart, and not out of some forced words.
You can still discuss religion if your curriculum calls for it, but it has to include various religions to compare and contrast. Make sure you know beforehand what your students' beliefs are so that you don't attack, or be perceived as attacking their religion in particular. All you'll do is entrench them more, reinforcing their opinion that you are part of Satan's world. They will not see you as someone worried about them. Anyway, as a Social Studies teacher, more than likely will not study modern religions, and never have to worry about the dubs.
Even though I am an agnostic, I recommended to one of my friends, a Pentecostal, to take her kids to Catholic schools. She did, and her kids improved tremendously. She was surprised to find out that her kids were not forced to follow the catholic religion. If a Catholic school can be this objective, why cant secular schools and teachers do the same?
