Need Input! Overcoming Active JW Objections re: Letter on UN Website

the letter the un posted on their site regarding the wt affiliation with the un is great news!

kudos to everyone who made this possible by taking the time to write the un!

although most on jwd see this as a big victory, most have expressed that there will probably be many active jw's who will find it suspicious or will turn a blind eye.

I think that the most effective objection would be: if it was so innocent, why stop it then? like it was said before. By the way, I am trying to get people to write them about translating the letter into Spanish and other languages.

I would start by having some "wordly" friends come over when they have their meetings. Preferably some long-bearded males and some ladies scantly clothed. It would help if they have tatoos and wear inverted pentagrams or devil worshipping symbols. Make sure they have never been in the trooth if you don´t want to be disfellowshipped. You can always claim that you see them as prospective studies.

Make sure that you keep a diary listing who and how you were shunned, and your expenses in entertaining them. They should be tax deductible since they are in the business of religion and anyway you are not participating socially.

You have your rights too!

That´s just for starters. I am sure your imagination can go wild after this.

The numbers alone (23,720) would make me take a catholic priest over a JW elder as an overnight babysitter for my daughters in a New York second.

The problem is that they cover their a$$ legally by calling their elders unpaid volunteers when it comes to getting sued.

Do all informed JW's deny the man Christ Jesus as their mediator?

many here are familiar with the current watchtower doctrine that jesus is the mediator for only the 144,000. .

members of the great crowd who know and believe wt doctrine on this subject will deny that jesus christ is their mediator.

those of the remant who know and believe wt doctrine on this subject will claim to have jesus christ as their mediator, but will deny that the mediator is a man.. however, the bible says that the mediator is .

I thought that Jesus was either a demigod or a full god who was born inside a human. Not a full human.

Since the prophecy clearly states that Jesus was supposed to be from the seed of David, but was made from the seed of god, I don´t see how he can he be fully human.

As usual, with the likes of you, I do not debate, but certainly learn a lot from your posts. You have taught me a lot about the history and background of the bible. Narkissos, peacefulpete, and others also posting here have a deep insight also, and do not limit themselves to the bible alone.

I hope you people do not get discouraged by the lack of response. I cannot talk for everyone, but I personally enjoy them tremendously.

I especially like information about the obscure characters like Enoch, Melchisedec and its relationship with El Elyon, etc.

I hope you people do not get bored by the lack of challenge from the likes of me. You are doing an excellent job as true teachers, and inspired me to seek further knowledge.

Does the Golden Rule go both ways?

everyone knows the golden rule 'do unto others as you would have them do to you'.

mostly people seem to see the good side of this rule, i.e.

be kind to people if you want them to be kind back, etc, but couldn't it also mean you can be as evil as you want as long as you don't mind if people are evil back to you?.
