  often in society we let every business and organization have there day.

  it seems that we do not want to stifle freedom with endless restrictions, so we let people go to a point that will either bring success or failure.

  the thing is, those are not always the results.

  religion sells the most important product that man needs HOPE AND as long as man has a need for hope there will be some belief system out there selling it.

  James, in my opinion, conformity, for most Jehovah's Witnesses is as important as hope, if they are not immediately threatened.

  Many people can be easily convinced to feel comfortable or safe, in relation to rest of the world, amongst a 'special' group that is controlled to look and act similarly, and that conformity is one of the best selling features of the WTS, outside of utilizing the fear factor of losing ones social support.

  Major network calls for official investigation

  in providing damning evidence of a massive cover-up of criminal activities by its members, channel nine has called for an "official investigation into the wts".

  a judge of the supreme court has also expressed "i am surprised that the police have not taken action against the church authorities.

  i hope they will do so.

  Once again, it appears individual elders of Jehovah's Witnesses are on the front lines unwittingly taking the legal hits for the WT Corporation that skulks behind a smokescreen of masterfully opportunistic marketing.

  I couldn't imagine why a directive so important to the health of Watchtower Corporations adherents would be classified as CONFIDENTIAL

  to my friends, exjw's, and hypocritical watchtower-apologists,.

  i promised on this website quite some time ago that should i ever leave jw.com, i would be honorable and not complain nor post some grandiose exit so as to garner unnecessary attention and bandwidth, and i will keep that promise.

  i am not complaining, i love many people on this website, and can relate to their pain like few others can, because i experienced it myself.

  How did we EVER do it all?!??!?!

  there has been something that has been bothering the "engineer" part of me for a lonnnng while.

  we have heard it from the platform time and time again about what we should be doing as "servants of god".

  so, today i finally sat down and calculated if it is even possible to do all of the study, meetings, field service, secular work, school, etc, etc.

  I am new to this site.... I wish to tell my story.

  my name is cynthia... i have had depression as a child ( undiagnosed ) father was possibly bipolar and mother is depressive both undiagnosed.....my journry into the org along with how the depression became a mental breakdown , which i thought was jehovah removing his spirirt.

  my sruggle with the elders......and the many ways and people i sought help from.....well it is all a long story......... included in it.

  jws i have known with mental health issues.......breakdowns.......psych docs have had discussed this with........ i would like to relate my story.....i was so ill..nearly catotonic i did not go to a hospital but if i relate how i felt.........it was clear...... how i was afraid of crossing the street because the green light may have been really a red light and i was told so often by the elders that my thinking was wrong...... ie " they were showing love by isolating me ( a depressed person) because i needed to be active and i was not complying..they said they tried ll that they coudl when in reality it was i always i that reached out to them ( thinking they were chosen of god)...... well..i just gave a sampler....my story is very long...i have been tenatious i read so much ( even before becoming a jw ) about depression and dysfunctional families... i was a teacher did not gte my ma ..people here know why i am sure..... well...before i write this story of mine...i would like to ask..if i can do it in intallments........those i relate my story to say i should write a book..........i am not " out of the woods yet".........by the way.......i came to the point that i could not leave my room..... i live in nyc and i was able to speak to bethel elders including g. gangus.... i was very sincere......naive idealistic.............i asked qiestions thinking that surly god understood ...that my motives were good... .

  You didn't ... that's where the Watchtower guilt trip kicks in.

  Larc, I've just been accepted into a local college but I am working full time also ... any tips? Did your college have many evening classes?

  I figure given the success rate of the Watchtower Corporations Armageddon 'suggestions' ... I should be able to get a degree, buy a more comfortable house in the country and have a leisurely but interesting retirement before the end of the world arrives any day now (TM).

  continued from my post about hubby having cancer.

  we talked to the dr that is going to install his porta vein for the chemo he is going to get.he mentioned special papers he will have to sign because of the "no blood".

  well hubby freaked out.

  They have also sent him some juice that is called Noni juice that is supposed to "Cure Cancer". I don't believe it but he does!

  Whole life insurance, Amyway riches, Noni Juice, the Watchtower Corporation ... is it just me or is there a pattern here.

  Welcome hamp' from what I've read regarding your story perhaps 'saving' people, either one way or the other, isn't necessarily your bag.

  In your case, I recall a saying that goes,

  " For peace of mind ... resign as General Manager of the Universe "
