If my wife wished no blood transfusion I would respect that. So long as she is in charge of her facilities, it is HER life. However I could not ever be part of a murder/suicide. If she could no longer make a decision because of a coma or such, I would without a doubt do authorize a transfusion. This is a decision that NO ONE ELSE should interfere with. As spouses go, the spouse has final decision. Period. Hospitals should never allow non immediate family around the patient. This is truly ghoulish.

To those who refuse to "eat blood" I am still waiting to find out if any became a vegetarian. After all isn't that what the true meaning of that phrase is? My JW associate will not answer my querie.

BTW-wife is not a Witness.

Thoughts on Rush Limbaugh

while watching the network's coverage on the election, i kept noticing how the announcers kept talking about what impact the rush limbaugh show might have on the republican vote... they felt his show might sway the votes away from mccain... .

now, all you conservatives out there, isn't it one of the biggest embarassments you can ever have, to know that rush limbaugh can have an effect on how your party votes?

if i knew that people thinking like rush limbaugh were voting for my candidate, that would automatically make me vote the other way.. i mean honestly, how can you not be embarrased that your party holds a man such as rush limbaugh in high esteem?

Agreed, beksbks. What free2beme said is pathetic. It would be similar to say that Rush makes a target of himself because he is overweight and addicted to meds. I would feel just as bad to hear Rush suffering a serious stroke as I would feel about anyone else succumbing to any disease, nevermind his political leanings.

Michael Fox did not choose to be sick. He chose to help others in similar situations. Rush on the other hand can lose weight and simply get free of drug addiction. Fox cannot choose to lose Parkinsons. Truly a vicious, cruel and insensitive comment.

i was not raised in the cult.

i lived across the street from a county group home that housed 10-12 teen-age boys at any one time.

Her name was Rose. It was grade 3. For some reason I was obsessed with her looks. She was beautiful all around.

We hung around for a long time-right through grade 4 as a matter of fact. She even came over for milk and cookies.

On the first day of grade 5, I was shocked to find out she had moved. I searched the phone book. I asked the neighbours where she once lived. No luck. I have never heard from her since. Took a long time to get over it, but I did. I still ask here and there around the neighbourhood if anyone recollects her whereabouts.
