This is what I've told the JW who have come to my door.
I was raised a JW and they told me there was not a need to further educate myself, get married, have children, to shun my disfellowshipped sister. I am so glad that I decided to do the opposite. I received an education, married, have 2 wonderful sons and a grandson. Plus my sister is alive because she did not commit suicide because I was able to help her through the disfellowshipping, plus help her deal with some horrible circumstances that was caused by the teaching of the JW faith.
If there are younger...I always say don't let this religion take your youth and you wake up 30 - 40 years from now in a job that is going no where, listening to the same old drivel...that they continue to tell you that it's either new light or exciting news. There is so much life to be lived, receiving an education, traveling, living your dreams.
If they are older....I asked them. How much more of your life are you going to give to this organization that keep changing or lying to you, then calling it new light. There is so much life out there to live, other than spending it goingt to meetings, field service, conventions and to only find out that you are serving an Corporation that are telling you a lie about being the mediator for Christ. You should take the time to read Luke 21:8 and think about what religion is know for this.
They will run from your door like roaches when the light is turned on. But believe me, they will be thinking....but this is a seed that was drop into my head in field service and a co-worker. At the time time I thought they were putting demons on me...because I felt the most uncomfortable...the veil of WTBS was finally cracked.
