  well first i want to thank everyone here for the good points etc... i have received over the last few months.

  you guys have really been helpful!.

  so the other day my mother wrote me a 3 page letter telling me how she was so scared for me because she could tell my love for the truth was gone etc.. so i decided i wanted to totally rip the band-aid off and get this matter over and done with.

  so my family has obviously been noticing over the past several months that i've been missing meetings and fs.

  i've had excuses sometimes, but not others, so my parents are definitely getting that this is more than a long bout of illnesses or fatigue.

  i just received an email invitation to join them in service this weekend.

  a suburban jupiter couple is in the county jail today after they refused to give their 19-month-old boy the nutrients he needed, causing him to end up in a local hospital's intensive care unit.claudel and vanessa louis face charges of neglect of a child with great bodily harm.palm beach county sheriff's deputies were called to st. mary's medical center in west palm beach on june 5 to investigate the child neglect case.. the 19-month-old boy was admitted to the hospital may 24 after he had trouble breathing.the boy's doctor told the investigating deputy that the boy was severely malnourished, underdeveloped and was in respiratory distress, according to a sheriff's probable-cause affidavit.

  lots of proper pioneering (90 hours), lots of calls, lots of studies, lots of interest.

  enough to make it all interesting.

  driving this buzz was the sense that armageddon was imminent.. my father was never a jw, and was very opposed.

  Should I send this letter to my non-JW cousin who refuses to listen to ANY criticism of our JW relatives?

  some background here; non-jw family members who are overly respectful and protective of the jw's.. i thought i might try a completely different tactic.

  what are your views on my letter below?

  i thought i'd let it sit with her for a couple of weeks or more before following it up .

  I'm New... and I'm running...

  it's some kind of funny... i was the perfect little ass, even that i never believe it all.. there was something that doesn't sound right... but, i was little, i was with my family, i never believe that my family will make me adopt a cult.

  well i get batized in my mid teen years, i was the exemplar, ms at 19, even serve my time at bethel.

  get married to a pioneer, start a spiritual family, get my 2 kids.

  As a JW, were you easily lead ?

  the reason i ask is that, in the wake of the brutal murder of a serving soldier in woolwich, the second murderer/accomplice michael adobowale, the son of jw's at one time, is described by ex-schoolfriends of his as, "easily lead".. when we were being brainwashed and controlled by the wt, we were told to suspend our critical thinking skills, but more pertinately, our consciences, which would be supplied by the wt.. if necessary, we would sacrifice the life of one of our babies because the wt/jw cult told us to.. does not such an upbringing leave a young man like michael/toby vulnerable to the influence of baleful people like the rabid, hate-preaching clerics of radical islam who have for too long influenced young men to carry out appalling acts ?.

  he has no real personal moral compass, in his formative years it was drummed in to him at jw meetings what he should think and feel, he should ignore as from satan himself any dissenting thought or feeling within him,the same regime within radical islam has produced this young man willing to take part in a terrible crime against humanity.. there, but for the grace of god, go you or i..

  Advice please - How dating works in world?

  looking for your advice.

  i was born in 'the truth', homeschooled, washed windows for work, etc.. im rather ignorant of how the whole dating thing works.. .

  i'm sure i'm not the only person on here who grew up 'in the truth' and is/was a virgin in their late 20s, never been to a nightclub, etc., while everyone around them has a family/kids.
