  i met a jw who said he hated driving to the kh because satan always changed the traffic lights to red so that he'd be late.

  this is so absurd, showing how paranoid some of them are.

  what similar, equally retarded, reasoning have you come across?

  As a JW Did you Feel " Guilted " to go to Meetings /Service if Injured /Sick ?

  many people in the jehovah's witnesses , older ones, younger ones have been expected to pioneer, go in field service with physical disabilities and are even considered "martyrs" if they push themselves to their physical capacities beyond reasonableness .

  thus many witnesses feel sick, exhausted, tired, and essentially fight depression due to high expectations to " burn out " for the wt society.

  have any of you experienced this while in the witnesses ?.

  i don't remember how often they were, but thinking back on them, boy does it seem silly!

  impossible as all women could be any of those things at any given moment. lol. as women fluctuate.

  plus those arent women traits, they are personality traits. Ive met men like that many times. needy ones.

  Totally Busted and Scared!!!!!!

  my husband and i have been fading/disappearing for a few months now.

  we haven't been to meetings in quite some time, but most of our family members live out of the area, so they don't know yet.

  so with the spirit of joy that comes from newly exiting a doomsday cult, we have been celebrating all the holidays as well as my 5 year old's birthday (she turned 5 on december 2).

  I have a theory. yes it is possible. but that belies the 'clean congrgation' theory. like so many others I am DF'd because I had the balls to be honest and true to my own beliefs despite the losses.

  i believe many of the liars are the ones still active. - this proven in the fact that many posters on here are active and living a lie to everyone. - not to offend those posters they have their reasons, but it does prove the point that the cong does contain those only pretending to follow its ways, while it claims to keep clean.

  again - the fault doesnt really lie with those still in, rather the strange logic of the organisation. - cast out the honest, keep those that hide who they are...

  Maybe being a Witness wasnt so bad?

  before i became a witness i was a shallow egotistcal happy go lucky married man.

  i owned 2 houses which were rented out.i lived rent free in london working for a rich arab-.

  due to being a witness i quit a job and a lifestyle i will never have again.. i now live in sweden with the same wife and have a kid- i can think critically.my good friends are those i met on the ministry (but never converted)-i have good friends from my congregation in england.

  it wasnt that bad so long as that was what you were happy to do. the moment you want more it becomes a miserable existence. like a cage. that simple.
