by dgp ini'm under the impression that the restrictions the wtbts imposes on witnesses to interact with non-jw's ultimately means that a non-jw might find he or she can't really help a faithful witness.
even if the witness in in real, serious need, or in the common events of every day life.
you can't ask your witness neighbor to come over to your house and interact normally.

Friends who are not JW
by dgp ini understand that a good jw must not be friends with anyone who is not in the society.
however, i am under the impression that in real life that gets sort of swept under the rug and jw's have friends outside anyways.
is my impression correct?

Can a witness avoid ever being disfellowshipped or reproved?
by dgp inpeople, a simple question this time.
since the society has such a complex set of rules, how likely is the average witness to be disfellowshipped?
reproved?

What would happen to a JW woman if she did this?
by dgp inif you were a jw woman, and you exposed your elder husband as a cheater, what would happen to you?
would the congregation take it against you?
what would happen to your standing in the congregation?

Did you ever think you isolated yourselves?
by dgp inin another thread, started by sacolton, some people who are out of the society have mentioned that they felt their being witnesses was some kind of license to be, in sacolton's own words, like "having a license to be a complete douchebag to others?
i could automatically judge and condemn those who i didn't know and feel superior towards "worldly" people.

by dgp inas some of you might know by now, i am not a jehovah's witness, and never have been.
and, never will be, thanks to you and other people like you who have opened my eyes to what the society really is.
as someone who never crossed the fence, quite often i feel that i can't contribute with anything to the people who left, or who are at the fence, or who are very deep into the society and seem unreachable.

All right, do JW's REALLY do not marry outside of their faith?
by dgp ini've been a lurker in this site for some time.
i am not a jehovah's witness, but was here because i wanted to know more about the organization, since i am in love with a jw woman.
she recently rejected me, on the grounds that "she would not risk her relationship with jehovah for someone who would die in (snap fingers)".
