Funny, a friend was at the mtg where they studied

about the flood etc...and he was all excited to show

me that the flood story was true and .....then repeated

word for word what that other person said about the

sea shells being found on the top of the mountain, so

therefore it is true!

ha hahah ...if there was a wwflood...the sea shells would

be washed into the lowest places...in crevices, not up on

a mountain!!!!

The reason why there are sea shells in places on mountain tops

is from the upheaval of the earth....volcanos, earthquakes &

plate shift! As the earth is forced upwards it shoves shells & such

up with it!

My PERSONAL Complaint concerning Jehovah's Witnesses

i was not much more than 16 when i became interested in the jws.

i was an idealistic, unrealistic (read, romantic) kid, concerned at the suffering of so many people as a result of ww2 and its aftermath.. i guess that made me an ideal target for the kingdom message.

but strangely the person who told me about the witnesses wasn't one.. where i worked, we often had quite deep discussions during morning tea breaks, and a non-witness kept bringing up the ideas of the witnesses.

They don't just try .... before you even walk out the door,

all those so called friends have unfriended you! Your own

children, that you produced with blood sweat & tears are

compelled to leave you ........ pretty much forever!

Just ran into an old aquaintance .....she was df'd at 17 for

minor stuff, got kicked out, married a lovely worldly man,

had 4 beautiful children, .............30 yrs later she is still

shunned by family. Her 'mother' has not talked to her all

this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Family Lost- Dealing with the "Inevitable"

so... recently lost my favorite aunt, mother of my favorite cousin- she was a "witness" when she died.

inactive, but still a witness.

who lived with my witness mother and stepdad.

Well ...I thought I wouldn't miss my brothers at all.

20 yrs later ........different story now.... would love to

sit down with them & ask all those questions we never

thought to ask.

Just to have a brother even sort of in my life .....

would be comforting now. Think twice.

My wife and i, cake for our daughters...hm

so recently it was my daughters b-day and my wonderful wife thought of a great idea....lets get her a cake.

so some family came to town and we did cake and a few gifts.

interesting developments as my wife and i have not been to the meetings in abouuuuuut a month....and have been incredibly irregukar in attendance the past six months.

Really bizarre part on the meeting last night

on the service meeting there was a part covering a couple of pages from the tms guidebook chapter on warmth and feeling.

rather than coaching the r&f on how to make a school talk sound warm, it focused on the people that jws meet in their ministry.

basically, the part could have been labelled "how to fake warmth and feeling.

friends chat you up & smile before mtg .....after announcement

as mtg ends.......BIG SWITCH FLIP......all eyes on floor & as df'd

walks out, all eyes/heads/backs turned away as they show their

"special love" aka HATE! hhahahaahhhaahah so sick!

Don't be afraid doubting JW, step into the darkness...

i must admit that my journey has brought me to a place that i never thought possible, a void.

i have held faith in the spiritual world all my life and now i was finally able to pass to other side of the darkness.

many times darkness is associated with evil and yet roughly 70% of the universe is made of dark energy.. .

I have never experienced anything like this watchtower

horror either. The leaving is amazing & jubilant, the

'punishment is hell'........somehow they get the dubs

to think it is showing LUV... hahahahah!

JW friends were easy to make -- almost "automatic" -- but unfortunately, just as easy to lose -- just as automatic.

Today I Da'd -Twenty-five years ago. Regrets -some.

yes twenty-five years ago today we sent in our da letter.

some regrets, not about leaving the cult obviously, but sometimes when i read about people slowly fading and keeping in touch with family and friends i wonder if we should have done that.

of course it was before the internet in 1989 so we didn't know about people fading.. one day we were driving along and we had been talking about moving congregations because we knew something was wrong but of course we thought it was local.

I wish 'how to do life' was easy, the rhythem gets

out of sync for me .... sometimes keeping quiet when I

should speak out, and then (sigh) speak out in exasperation!

Then of course Watchtower makes everything life or death!!!!

Seems like the longer I sit on the horns of this dilema,

the more the stress wears me out! The answer is simple,

doing it, is another matter! Ha ha ..one day I'll look back

and wonder what took me so long!
