  Moving!! Who lives in the Denver area??

  yes, i know, long time no post!

  but anyway, i'm finally moving out of mississippi.

  i took a job at children's hospital in denver and would love to know if any of you guys live in the denver area.

  i was thinking that i could print up th transript of dateline with the picture of dan fitzwater and send it to all the people that knew him in fl.

  his case broke in nevada, but i was forbidden to talk to people that knew him in fl.

  by the time i realized i should say something i was dfed.i thought about heading it with something like dan fitzwater exposed as a child abuser on dateline.

  Charles Russell a Chid Molester?

  i recall reading a couple years back, some court documents posted on an ex-jw site that stated that charles taze russell was accused by his wife (at their divorce hearing) of sexually abusing a girl that they had taken in to their home.

  does anyone have any information on this?

  or know where i can find this again?

  Two Witnesses to WHAT !!!

  i have asked this question on another thread but want to bring it to everyone's attention.

  the wt society is trying to make it look as if they have always handled molestation aggressively and that very little change has been required, only 'strengthening' their policy over the years.

  two witnesses to separate incidents of the same kind of wrongdoing.

  this is a post i received on page 3 of child abuse under dan fitzwater exposed on dateline.... ("laurie, i can truly appreciate your feelings of digust for this man, and feeling as though he is not repentant.

  Dateline Fitzwater Letter-"Two Witnesses

  the following is a letter written from the service department regarding the molestation of the step daughter of daniel fitzwater.

  in the dateline program daniel fitzwater was shown by correspondence from a circuit overseer to have molested 17 jw children who unfortunately did not have two eye-witnesses for each incident.

  thus brother fitzwater went to prision and remains in prision as a jw in "good standing".

  NEW JW POLICY POSTED!!!

  i don't know if anyone has posted on this already but there is a new press release at http://www.jw-media.org/releases/default.htm?content=bg_molestation.htm that defines the current jw policy and i believe it has taken a step in the right direction!.

  although they have not literally changed it to require reporting to the authorities in all states, they have finally put into print the following: "additionally, the victim may wish to report the matter to the authorities, and it is his or her absolute right to do so.".

  i am glad to see, straight from the wt, acknowledgement that the adults involved have every right to go to the police.

  Dateline VHS Not Available

  i just called nbc to try to order the vhs tape of last night's segment on jw's, and they said that a taped version is not and will not be available because of copyright issues.

  i'm not sure how that works, i would have thought that the network was the owner of the program and could distribute it as it sees fit.. guess i'll have to settle for ordering a transcript.... tom.
