the thought behind the trinity is not so hard to understand or appreciate if you approach if from a philosophical viewpoint.
you must look beyond the obvious.
I have to be honest - I would struggle with just calling the Father "Creator".
Father, Son and Holy Spirit were involved in creation.
Further, what does the name YHWH really mean?
If it is defined as the JW's would have us believe (He causes to become) then surely that could be construed as the Creator, leaving room for the many beliefs of Father and Son being attributed with the name YHWH in the OT.

another question.. this one is for all those that began doubting the organisation when they were an obedient jw.. although i am sure you rarely shared it with anyone, what was the one problem you had with a certain jw only doctrine?.
what i mean is, what little gremlins lurked at the back of your mind?
what were the doubts that you kept hidden and what made you finally act on them?.
This time last year I was happily plodding along as a JW Elder, reaching out for Circuit work.
I then had a "brush with God" resulting in the following issues coming up, in the following order:

Then everything else came tumbling apart.
I'm still very much a Christian, but I left the borg in January of this year.

There's confusion among them as to whether Mark 13:20 means that there will be "Anointed Ones" left on earth at the end of the tribulation.
Because of this, the "Anointed Ones" issue will remain a problem for them.
Of course the 1935 thing has no chronology behind it, so they may be able to slide it, if they can think of a number to twist.

In it's least destructive form it can cost SysAdmins hours of detective work, but it is unlikely to have caused damage or interrupted access.
It's still not nice to think that someone is rummaging around in your files, though (analogous to an underwear drawer).
As for Firewalls - very few people install one, let alone several, of these.
There are weaknesses in them all hence Berean's advice, to have several lines of defense, is appropriate.
However I know of few laymen who know the implications of this, nor how to configure this appropriately.
ive recently been in contact with a couple of ex-jws that i knew in my childhood.. what has surfaced is the amount of fear that we experienced as young children when we were involved with the witnesses.
i accept that children often do develop irrational fears as part of growing up, but what i am talking about here is a deep-seated fear of being harmed.. many young children that i grew up with in the witness religion were of an unusually nervous disposition.
i recall how when i was first taken to meetings that i found the whole experience somewhat sinister and strange.

let's see how long the wbts can continue to waffle on this issue.... telling their members that the elders are "appointed by god" and yet when they make a mistake, claiming that they are merely "untrained volunteers.".
i have never known exactly how "elders" are chosen and what the process is when a recommendation goes to brooklyn.
all i've ever heard is "the gb prays over the issue.
I don't believe that appointments go to the GB, it just gets as far as the local Branch.

I remember being told to get rid of my dice (ah the memories of the D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20) and a wave of irrational fear went through me, as my parents explained that the game could be linked to demonism.
Later that same day I was sick that I had wasted all those good die, and burned those books!!!
I just toddled off and bought a different RPG.
