Boeing 747s and Other Misunderstandings about Evolution
by cofty inperhaps the most common misunderstanding that prevents people from grasping evolution is complexity.. we see it almost daily on the forum where people mention dna or the eye or any of a multititude of examples and ask how it could have arose "by blind chance"?.
whenever you see a reference to chance and complexity it is obvious the person hasn't yet grasped the basics of the theory.
chance is only one part of the process.

More "Elders" Doubt They Are Appointed By The "Holy Spirit"!
by Bubblegum Apotheosis inthe study edition of the watchtower says the elders are appointed by jehovah's holy spirit.
it's confounding the society does not realize that more and more elders, do not accept this claim.
i have racked my brain, wondering how many brothers and sisters actually believe this, fall hook and sinker.

propagandists hammer hard on their view and discourage discussion.many times their true motives are hidden.
they sift the facts, tell the favorable ones and conceal the others.

Bloodplates... Can it Really be Justified?

oky and theres allot of scriptures supporting that.. so is giving blood at a bloodbank allowed for witnesses?
no, its not allowed.... oky so heres my question.... witnesses are allowed to use blood plates... where does those blood plates come from?.

Latest Watchtower page 30... They have some nerve to put this!
by TimothyT inone thing that i have always noticed even when i was a jw is that the jw org has lots and lots and lots of rules for allsorts of stupid petty rules which make no difference.
when you read the bible you see how they are clearly in the wrong here and are acting like the pharisees themselves, who imposed so much pressure on others to conform to the law.
am i missing something here!?!?

Did the Watchtower just admit to MIND-CONTROL?
by pharmer inconsider some of the other twisted things used to mislead gods people today.
on occasion opposers will question the various teachings that jehovahs people hold in common.
often this becomes a debate about words, just as it was in the first century.

Worried about my friend
by pharmer ini have a friend who has been a jw for a couple years (baptized).
she might have to undergo gallbladder surgery.
i'm worried for her (about the blood issues)and have made that known.
