I did not like field service. When I was a young boy (6 or 7)and I knocked on the door, I would sometimes get sympathetic people who would offer a cookie or something.

Has anyone seen this Watchtower article before?
by T.F. inhi, my first post here.
i stumbled across something in the watchtower 1981 magazine (in my wbts library cd) showing the faithful and discreet slave is "a composite individual".
i have never seen this anywhere before, but the wbts set-up of the fds as "a composite individual" looks somewhat similar to the trinity of three divine persons in one true god.

These things are better left unsaid !!!!
by caliber inyes let's start a list... what things do you feel are better left unsaid on jwn or on any public site maybe even ?.
(1) planned affairs (2) talking about a partner who one day maybe post on site or has a friend who does.
(3) anything to do with abuse of children.

Negative remarks such as one would hear on a grade school playground about someone Else's comments. Probably better left unsaid in my opinion.

Why tap water is better than bottled.
by Gregor inlots of reasons, cheaper, no plastic etc.
but the reason i prefer it is that when i travel i always keep water in the car.
bottled water is good for about a week then it starts to smell.

1914 coverup has begun
by hamsterbait ini spoke to an elderly sister, 94, who is deteriorating rapidly.
she honestly believed she would never die.. obviously she is desperate to deny to herself that the cult she allowed to steal her one and only life a second at a time is still true.. "the generation change is just like 1975 - we were sifted.
we were being tested as to who was serving jehovah for a date and those with unbreakable trust in the organisation he has appointed.".

So, the Watchtower intentionally stated untrue things in their literature to see if we would remain loyal? You know that's a hard one to swallow when we are talking about prophecy.
Deuteronomy 18:21-22 says: You may say to yourselves,"how can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord? If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously.Do not be afraid of him.
"unbreakable trust" = always be faithful to the organization without question. How is it possible to reason with someone of such a mindset?

Do you feel unnerved by the "Global Financial Crisis"?
by Elsewhere inever have a moment where something stressed you out, then something else, then another thing, and then you remembered the "global financial crisis" and before you knew it your nerves were shot to hell???
i have found myself doing that over the last few weeks.
i end up having to spend a few hours talking myself down.. what is odd is that i know, statisically, we all have a very low chance of loosing our jobs.

No, it doesn't bother me at all. Really! I don't mind bailing out those poor banks and car manufacturers. They need that money to go to spa's and stay in the best resorts in the world. I think the CEO's should be rewarded by getting huge bonuses with our tax dollars because they are doing such an outstanding job! That's why I work so hard for little money. So I can hand it over to needy people like that. Its perfectly fine for people to not be held accountable for their actions. To go ahead and spend money they don't have and then ask for handouts from hard working people. And at the end of the day we can all watch the stock market take another dump!
I guess it does bother me a little.
