Hey English,
I'm packing up my rowboat now.
How long do you figure it'll take to row across the pond?

ps. You will wait untilI get there, right?
ok all you lucky people, this is the big one!.
every july, around about the time of my birthday, her ladyship and myself host the barbie to end all barbies.
fun, frolics and fizz are the order of the day, this is the social event, places are more in demand than tickets to watch england play (that's artistic licence btw), even dub in the pub turned up last year.. originally started 10 years ago to get the local pubs regulars together, i usually invite about 40 from the pub, about 15 little & big hooper's, and i am now throwing open an invitation for about 15 - 20 posters from this site to join in the fun.. the event will, weather permitting, take place on sunday july 21. meet at the waverley pub, severn road, weston - super - mare between 12noon and 3pm.

q is the organization a direct channel between god and humanity?
a again, our governing body has never claimed that our organization is inspired or infallible.
instead they, our governing body, study the bible diligently and through prayer they make a request for his holy spirit to direct them and be upon them.
"In practice, they DEMAND all of the respect of divinely inspired prophets, yet are unwilling to take ANY of the responsibility that comes with being a divinely inspired prophet."
Another thought provoking statement made by the thought provoker himself, Farkel.
Now why couldn't we see this while we were involved in the JW culture?
One question I think keeps many JWs being part of the WTS is:
What if the WTS is right?
By the JW asking him/herself that question, they must ignore what the Bible gives as warnings about following men, false prophets, ect..ect..ect.

Hi Southland, (You're not living down south, are you?)
I have heard that response from someone.
My response back to them is:
If the WTS is the 'truth' and their truth keeps changing from one year to the next,
then how do you know that what you're being taught now as truth won't be changed next year?

what's the silliest thing you ever heard a jw say?.
(besides, the possible, "anything they say is silly.
my personal favorite: an elder once said to me at a circuit assembly back in the eighties (and why i don't remember...maybe i was smirking): "you think the devil is weak?
I was talking to a ms one day and I made a comment about something that was going on in one of the third world countries, and this brother proudly exclaimed how the FDS is always keeping us abrest of what's going on in the world.
Well I didn't tell him but, I learned of this information from reading a magazine produced by another religion.
I didn't have the nerve to tell him this.
He was glowing with pride thinking the WTS has all information on everything you can possibly want to know.
I just laughed to myself.

check out these pictures from previous publications!
not only are they sick but the watchtower belief system is parrallel with the taliban!
feburary 1983 watchtower.. .
"A terrorizing from God would be called a judgement"
Are they saying Gods name is Allah?
Because they terorist that did this profess that Allah is thier God.
So obviously they believe Allah was backing them.

fathers day is coming up and this will be the first year that i will be getting my dad the card and a gift .
i mentioned it to someone and they acted like i was commiting a sin.
so what problem do the jw's have with this holiday ?
Wait a minute!!!
I didn't answer the quetion. Did I?
The answer is nothing is wrong with fathers day.
Nothing is wrong with mothers day or birthdays either.
There is nothing unbiblical about celebrating any of those days.

I believe Farkel hit the nail on the head.
Seems as tho the GB doesn't want JW's give honor to anyone but themselves.
Think about this.
All the articles in the mags. that mentions the GB or the Faithful Slave gives glory and praise to them.
Don't they?
Don't they expext.....no.... don't they demand unquestionable alegiance to them?????
Have they stated that they are not inspired of God? Yes.
Have they stated that they have made mistakes? Yes.
Do the JW's give honor and glory to the GB? Yes.
It seems to me that the JW's are guilty of idol worship.
They DO worship a group of humans.
Don't they?
They do give the glory and honor that should only be given to God to a bunch of imperfect men.
Don't they?

hello everyone, i'm new to this site.
so i dont really know all the computer talk (i just learned jh) so if u can please type the word out i would be very grateful.
so here is my question...... i have a girlfriend we will make 1 year in oct. but i just found out that she has been cheating on me for 3 weeks.
If she is cheating on you, she is showing that she does not want to be your girl.
Meaning: she doesn't want an exclusive relationship with you.
Be grateful that you found out within the first year.
Now you can go on and meet someone else.
If you and her decide to stay together, can you truthfully trust her again?
Once the trust is gone, the relationship is over.
Just my 2 cents worth.

yesterday, my ex husband and i took our 9 year old daughter to camp for the first time.
delaney was bouncing off the walls with excitement, mom and dad were secretly dreading the departure while smiling and acting happy for her sake (we're good at that .
once we checked her in, we had to hike thru the woods to her bunk and i am talking woods here!
It's good that she's able to go to camp.
She'll have some fond memories of it.
To go along with this subject, I could never understand why JW kids were never aloud to be kids.
Could not do sports.
Could not go to camp.
Could not have friends outside of the JW's.
Could not or should I say, are not allowed to enjoy this life as a child.
There was a little girl in the KH that I attended.
Everyone always complimented her parents on how well she did out in service, did on the stage.
She always carried herself like a little business woman.
She dressed the part too.
Although her parents were good parents, always trying to do their best for her, they did not give her the most important thing someone her age needs, and that is a childhood.
You know, fun and games.
Being carefree and just acting silly.
I could never understand the WTS view that a child should not act like a child, but should act like a little adult.
