If the Watch Tower Society discontinued shunning.... new survey!!
by cedars ini'm pleased to announce that juan viejo2 has launched a new mini-survey on jwsurvey.org.
the survey tackles the premise that the society might one day abandon shunning (at least between family members) and asks: what effect might this have on us?.
the survey is primarily targeted at df'd/da'd and active jws, although there is one question applicable to all, which asks simply whether you agree with the practice of shunning.. there are only a handful of questions, so if you feel inclined, please do visit and take the survey on the link below:.

As already mentioned this shit was doing the rounds before email was even invented. ( Email will probably be viewed as a miracle of God for helping to spread this bullshit too)
Item 1 happened to a close personal friend of my family. His name was David Winder and as far as JW go he really is a genuine nice bloke. He was just lucky that there was an open area beneath the stage to take the initial explosive force that then pushed the stage and David into the roof of the hall. Poor Davids legs were crushed from the blast and its astounding (not a miracle) that he survived at all but thanks to good doctors he survived and can walk still. Another of my ex-friends was sitting in the second row and she is deaf in one ear from the blast.
Having spent 20 years installing alarm systems on kingdom halls i think the biggest miracle is that god didnt strike the friggen dumbarse elder who went to the hall after the alarm had gone off and didnt check the zone that had been alarmed and see the access hatch to beneath the stage had been forced open , shine a torch in and see the bomb??????????? You dont ignore alarms! 101 in common sense jeez
Anyways for all the shit stories of god interveining to save a few bucks here and there what about all the bad that happens to "good" jws?

A congregation in spain returning from DA when their bus crashed into a ravine killing 40+.
How utterly naive have the JW become? WW2 Nazi soldiers had "God is with us" on their belts but did they? Just because spurious shit is spread by the week minded doesnt confirm god is with them. Quite frankly i dont want to be associated with anyone human or supernatural that allows innocents to suffer when they have the power to change this. Child abuse of the grandest scale and thats why i will never get involved in any religion again!
If this makes me an enemy of god well so be it! i at least when its in the power of my hand to do good to others i do it. whats wrong with him then?

UK convention dramas recorded by American actors - the GB's yearly gaffe
by cedars ini'm just curious as to whether any of my fellow brits ever pondered how the society can be so stupid as to insist using the us drama tapes at uk conventions rather than having them re-recorded in a british accent?.
as all of us brits know, the convention drama is a subject of subdued derision among uk publishers - and i've been to many a party or social gathering where, at some point, somebody whose had a little too much coke re-enacts a scene from a drama mockingly (typically by gesturing wildly into the air and saying "jer-ho-vah gaaard!!
" in an over-the-top american accent).. what the society clearly doesn't understand is that the dramas really lose their emotional impact with british audiences when performed in an american accent by amateurs.

Yes!
Whats compounded into you as a child can be pretty hard to overcome. Im a good person now because thats who i want to be not because it was expected of me to be that way. I play alot of board gaming and i cannot stand cheaters so i dont cheat. Im happy to swear as and if the occasion calls for it. Its not really swearing when you say it in german right? I enjoy the occasional cigar and drink as much as i see fit to.
I totally enjoy sexual intimacy with my girlfriend and have not experienced an ounce of guilt. Why should i? Love is a caring sharing act that should be free of religious shit ideas. I am accepting of others choices and would never judge another again in my life if i can help it. Ex mrs Azazel thrived on being judgemental so im way over that.
I feel more a humanist than anything these days and i consider my morals ( how i interact with others) to be better than when i was in the cult.
