my name is joanne, and i'm 19. my earliest memory is of the kingdom hall.

it all started when my mother, who is now 62, was walking down the street and some witnesses stopped her while they were street witnessing.

my mom had a really tough life, and was looking for answers and a solution to her problems.

hi special fried chipmonks.. can anyone help me try and prove to my dad that just because jw's teach a lot of good and do get a lot of things right(mainly common sense, i might add) that this does not mean that you can ignore the things they have got wrong, the kind of things that could prove that they are not who they say or think they are!!.

he is great at reasoning the existence of god but when it comes to defending jdubs he is blinkered.. i try to tell him that 'isn't it a coinsidence that you were born into the 'truth', or is it that every child thinks that it's parents are right!!'..

also he says that you shouldn't spend so much time trying to prove it's correctness but put faith in it.

at this late, middle stage of my life, i've started wondering, now that i know what i know, about the things in my life that i "lived" with.

having been raised all my life in the "borg" i have known nothing else.

when questions began forming years ago, it started me thinking.

Jesus and Military service?

if jewish males at the time of christ were in the military at the age of twenty, and jesus fulfilled the law, then jesus would have had to become a part of that military when he was 20 also right????

military at 20 (we are two years too early here in the states) and start up the ole ministry at 30. he had his career all planned out, did he retire from the military (20-50yrs) or was he just a reserve like those military reservists down in ole mexico (jdub types).???
