  fading away quietly

  my wife and i are moving 3000 miles away so that we can fade away as jehovah's witnesses.

  i am looking for suggestions as to what i should do about our publisher record cards (keep them in pa?, get them forwarded to seattle?

  ) so that we can start our lives on the west coast with a fresh start and so we'll just be left alone...any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  It is not that difficult to fade out if thats what you want to do.
  Leave no forwarding address, get a P.O.Box. The hardest thing is doing it when you have kids in school. Kids are blabber mouths by nature.

  they were formed from the successful auditioners to a prime-time uk tv show popstars.

  you know the general idea, five thousand hopefuls apply, there are regional auditions, regional finals, the cut to the final hundred, then the final fifty last ten, then the best 5 were chosen to be in the group 3 girls 2 boys.

  There's one thing i'm unclear of about the replys on this post.
  It seems to me anyway, AND I KNOW I"M RIGHT! that this would be something everyone would agree on regardless of what side you are on.
  Sorry but I don't get it.
  Eventually the gonernment is going to get SICK AND TIRED of all the religious crap and ban it. I PREDICT there will be amendments and retractions to our Constitution. Don't know how that will effect other contries unless in the future the entire world is ruled by a corp. Why the hell not?

  How do you know if you're going to heaven?

  the only way to go to heaven is believing that jesus christ is god's son, and that he was sent here to earth to die on the cross for our sins.

  if you confess him as lord and savior, then and only then, will you be certain that you are going to heaven.

  I you are insisting that you are right and others are wrong, like most everyone here does, no that is not humility. But if you have faith or a belief in something such as God and keep your faith in tact regardless of how stupid others accuse you of being and regardless of the mountains of proof they think they have to prove that There right and Your wrong, then that is humility. Just like in Eden, Eve had No humility and Adam was an Ass hole following only his own dick.

  sorry this is so long, i probably could have left out half of it.

  i just felt like typing today.. the sign of the times.. i was having a semi conversation with someone whos very close to me on this subject after the 911 tragedies.

  apparently some congregations were talking about it being the worst thing that has ever happened, thus being a sign of the times.

  Oh by the way. When I first saw your user-name I automaticlly thought
  you were a total JW and didn't agree with most of the stuff in
  this forum. So is it ok to assume you are a believer of Jah but not
  the org. of wtbts? Just curious.

  When There's Too Much Talk About Satan???

  perhaps it is that when so many of us have been subjected to horrific mind manipulation methods, we become dumbed down to the seriousness of the issues at hand.. ----------------------------.

  when a 'church' teaches, no, in fact instills so much about satan and all his crafty ways and methods, including quite terrifying teachings of matters pertaining to demons, what happens to the innocent victims of that kind of abuse?

  how do, these innocent victims grow up, what effect does this have on their personal development and natural balance?.

  Hello all, I have to jump in on this a bit, I'm at my limit so I may not get back on again for awhile but anyway, I have some expierence with quite a few churches and cults. Not an expert mind you, just expierenced. One of my sister-in-laaws joined a cult when her and her familt moved to arkinsaw several years ago. They were Born Again Chrstians then after her husband became close to some of thier neighbors they bagan going to thier revival meetings. They dance with snakes. If the snake bites them they have no faith. I have never before in my entire life heard anyone say the names Jesus and Satan
  as much as she did the last time I saw her. She couldn't complete a sentance, NOT ONE damn sentance without leading it and ending it with "Praise Jesus!" or "Its Satan trying to decieve You!" OH! OH! "It's the work of the Devil!" Thats what television is to her now. They through away there T.V. the kids are not allowed to watch it anymore because it's one of Satans tool's of munipulation. She didn't have any problem listening to the radio though. That is to me one of the more creepy cults. We were so worried about her when she went into labor with her 3rd child she had major problems , bleeding, pain, and B--- her hubby refused to take her to the hospital because they had to show there faith in Jesus. He will protect her and the baby if it is his will. My Mom-in-law called the Sheriff and child protection services on them and told her hubby if he didn't get her to hospital she was most certainly going to have him shot. He took her to the hospital and the baby was tangled in the cord and she needed a c-sec. Everything turned out ok.

  Catholics? Oh yeh, several of those in the fam. My ex-husband is Cathoilc, altar boy the whole nine yards. He, His whole family, are terrified of dieing. Must be because they sin so much and so freely.
  Totally convinced that they ,if they miss confession, and die before repenting which can happen very easy any car accident can take care of that, they will suffer the flames of hell for eternity. They are more afraid of Satan and his power then they are of God, by far.
  They also believe that the antichrist will be a real dude, the litterial son of Satan. They believe that Satan will impregnate a women who will give birth to Satans son and he will, if not already, grow up to be a very powerful leader and decieve everyone into believing that he is a God send.

  There are several religons that teach a lot more scarry stuff about Satan then the JWs by far. I'm not afraid of Satan myself, never really have been. I would not dabble in the occult either, know some of those to and i'd rather play with fire.

  hello bill, i have been thinking about one great method to make public awareness of child molestation and rape in the organization to explode like an 80 megaton hydrogen bomb!.

  hollywood studios have an obsession with crime movies that chronicle the lives of the abused, and those like you, bill, who make a major difference in protecting them.. there are two kinds of movie themes, the documentary and "docu-drama.

  " it's the second that is ordinarily used because it's based on real life.

  most of us now laugh at the witnesses, but i think compared to some others they are quite reasonable ( notice i said compared).. so which religion has the most crazy beliefs.. i dont have much knowledge of these religions but i'll mention what i know , feel free to add your own points or correct me if i'm wrong.. i'll start with.. mormons,.

  believe jews migrated to america.and that we are angels on earth being tested.. monnies,.

  believe rev moon is jesus on earth.they also use (missuse) quatum physics to prove their beliefs.. scientology,.

  Can Lawyers assist on Judicial Committees?

  do you know of any judicial committee cases, were the victim brought a lawyer to defend him or something similar?

  at least during the inquisition they could athough it was rear!.

  I've never heard of it but who knows. I would think that the committee
  would argue that a lawyer working for anyone other than WTBTS would have no authority over their afairs. Unless you wanted a lawyer for the purpose of filing a law suit against them for stress or something. I can't imagine it helping someone keep from being df'd.
