  if you are a jehovah's witness parent i would like to say something to you.. shame on you!.

  shame on you for belonging to an organization of men who teach you that your children and your family should be less important to you than obeying their words, just because they claim to speak for god.

  shame on you for not remembering that loving and caring for your family should be your first priority.

  I DISTRIBUTED 1,000 FLYERS!

  i'm tired as hell today.

  yesterday, i typed up a flyer saying how jehovah's witnesses' protect pedophiles, and how many who have spoken out trying to protect children from wt policy have been excommunicated from the church.

  i didn't want to make it too long, but i ended by saying "how would you feel if on saturday morning, a knock comes to the door and your 6 year old runs to open it.

  i really need your feedback .

  i am really down on the dumps regarding being shunned and torn apart about da (i haven't yet).

  a week ago i wrote to dr. phil on oprah and wrote briefly about jw practices on shunning.

  I think you should go with this one,it as already been said speak the truth and you cannot go wrong. Shunning must be a terrible thing to go through it is down right evil.The support is there for you from caring loving people on this board.

  hello.. after lurking around for some time decided to join.

  i've been df for 32 years...and glad for it.. i'd pretty much laid the jw stuff to rest until last year when my older sister, after years of absence from my life, made comment to me about "struggling with the truth.

  I have been on this board now for a year i don't post that often,it is a great site to be on.i am a granny also with 2 boys in the borg along with their parents,i would give anything for then not to be there,when i do see them which isn't very often i always make a point of whispering I LOVE YOU SO MUCH in there little ears whilst i am hugging and squeezeing there last breath out of them. I also have 2 grand babies on the way,1 that is due any day now and 1in oct,and i have another grandson,so i will have 5 in all.

  JW girlfriend

  hello, i am new to this site, and i am dating a jw.

  however, my experience has been quite different from that of others doing the same thing.

  unlike other posts that i have read, her parents (we are both 18) are supportive of her relationship with me, she is quite open minded when it comes to social activities, she has both jw and non-jw friends, and is a totally "normal" 18 year old girl.

  I find this hard to believe because when my Son started to go out with a JW girl ,her Father,once he knew that it was serious,threw her out of the house the whole family whouldn't have anything to do with her.They eventually found a place to live and settled down got married a year or so later and then her parents started to come round.Then it all started,the witnesses where trying to get her to come back into the fold and she did go back and eventually my Son went with her,much to my disappointment.So,what i would say to you is,i know without doubt they do lead double lives i've seen it with my own eyes,they will put a face on for you and a totally different one on for the Witnesses

  OOBE, lucid dreams and astro projection

  i waas reading janh post on the chemicals in our brains relating to various phenomenon.

  started to think about the subject of astro-projection, also known as out of body experiences and even sometimes called lucid dreaming.. this is a cool site i found on it...... .

  I have had 2 OBE's in the past.Quite an experience it was too. To see yourself looking at your body from above is scary as well as fasinating,scared the hell out of me the 1st time and i was quickly reunited with my body,the 2nd time i was aware it was happening and i went with it,you really cannot explain it through an email. I can tell you the feeling i had that proceeds an OBE is i felt a funny sensation in my solar plexus area then a pull it was very weird. There are lots of books on the subject and it is a very interesting subject indeed,and yes you can train your spirit to leave your body with dedication and focus,perhaps a little meditation would be in order,i wish you love on your journey, as all things be careful.

  he relates on page 43: "since ancient times, spiritual masters of all traditions have pointed to the now as the key to the spiritual dimension.

  despite this, it seems to have remained a secret.

  I have read The Power of Now,and it blew me away,to date it is the most interesting book i have ever read.He has a new book out guiding you to live in the now.I would give you the proper title but i can't find the magazine with it in,sorry Bhagavad.You will find it on the Mind Body and Spirit web site.

  Local news article lists jw beliefs

  an article appearing in a local newspaper featured the building of a local kingdom hall.

  next to the article, a seperate column liste some beliefs of jehovah's witnesses, after stating briefly who they are and how they originated.. the article then listed their beliefs as follows:.

  only jehovah's witnesses can be saved.

  My jw daughter-in-law gets drunk regular,and just the other day on my visit to see them my Son said "our jack is going to be a big drinker he loves it" jack my grandson is only 9yrs old.I was a bit lost for words to be honest,perhaps i should have given my Son a clip round the ear and told him to wake up.

  conference, i was interviewed by channel 7 for a news story they are doing on religeous recruiting since 9/11.

  steve hassan was also interviewed, and a xjw from the greater boston area.

  Are All Organized Religions Cults?

  even though it has been years since i last stepped into a kingdom hall, it is only recently that i have accepted the idea that the jws are a cult.

  the word cult has such a horrible connotation, i mentally reserved it for the most overtly offensive groups.

  then, last evening, i went to mass with my husband.

  I agree with you on the comments you have made regarding cults,i went to a Christian meeting 2 nights ago they are called Life Spring and apparently they were founded in Brooklyn NY IN THE 50s I think. I decided to go because they gave out this leaflet saying how they are geared towards helping our young who have drug and drink problems.I stayed for 1 hour,i listen to some of the stories that were told by the teenagers themselves and how the had found Jesus,i was a little disturbed by that as i felt they were just putting a plaster over their wounds.I feel that organised religion is not the answer to these kind of problems as i feel that instead of finding God or Jesus the Key is to finding themselves first.Life Spring is part of the Assemblies of God,an offshoot so to speak.I also found out that The new Detective who has just moved into our town is a big Life Spring member.As the evening moved on there was a band playing Christian music and then praise the lord and Amens and the rest, were shouted out,then i made my getaway.
