Im Scared

im scared....im trying to think for my self and make my own decisons on the jw religin.but everytime i go to meetings,they scare me with all the armaggendon bull,and makes me feel bad for wanting to date and do"normal things".i mean i want to think for myself,it just seems like they think for you....you have to this and follow that because the wts says so.

and bullshit to loving and kindness in the congregation could have fooed me!!

I'am so sorry for what you going through now.

Shortly after I left the organization, that is almost 2 years ago, I felt this indescribable terrifying fear - fear of having turned my back on God. I started reading God's Word daily and prayed to Him fervently for guidance and understanding. I know that God has guided me through this journey. God has shown me what the meaning of the word truth is : God's word is the TRUTH.

Please remember that Our Heavenly Father will never leave us if we remain loyal to Him only.

DEUTERONOMY 31:8: "And Jehovah is the one marching before you. He himself will continue with you. He will neither desert you nor leave you entirely. Do not be afraid or terrified."

PSALMS 37:28: " For Jehovah is a lover of justice, And he will not leave his loyal ones."

my story

well i tried to do this yest and i lost all of it, :( lot of typing lost, but oh well, i would welcome feedback from anyone who has been through similar things to me, i got the truth 13 yrs ago, and i never felt like i was wanted not really, i was with a man and had 3 kids with him when i came into contact with the witnesses, but he was a pedophile so i found out and had been doing things to our kids since they were born, i ditched him, he walked from 2 high court trials, and no one in my cong cared abt me, they didnt want to know.

said it was in my head, anyway, i struggled for years i hated going to conventions and being ignored by my own cong, it was just me and my daughter on our own all the time trying to serve jehovah, i didnt feel happy but i just wanted to please my god and i just tried my best, i always felt left out and i was never asked to do demos at the hall, its like they were just putting up with me, i was always pulled in for stupid things like the messages i put on my answerphone cuz some stupid stuck up old sister didnt like it.

uncaring stern mean so called christians who are hypocrites they get on that platform and preach love and christianity and as soon as they put a toe off that platform they do the opposite, and what i have heard about the pharissees is soo true they r just like them only worse, id really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had similar to me, i need the encouragement..

I AM SAD AND NEED SUPPORT

my family has decided to shun me.

last week my brother and my husband got in a heated debate and finally my brother asked him why he doesn't believe in the jw's and he said because there religion is based on a lie.

well my parents found out and now have decided the best thing to do is shun me.

I'am so sorry for what you are going through now. The Watchtowers' shunning policy is un-Christian and unscriptural. And the mental pain it causes to all of us is surreal.

You have a beautiful, warm-loving sister - her refusal to shun you is a dysplay of true Christian love!

As for your parents, please continue to love them - It's the right thing to do - you are pleasing Our Creator and that's what it matters.

I'am a Jehovah God witness also.

I left the Watchtower organization quietly; and I find it's working very well for me. I'am so happy I choose this way out as I remain in peace with everyone. I feel that I never left my brothers and sisters whom I love very much, but I left a religious dictactorial cult whose members are treated like slaves of men.

There are so many doctrines fabricated by the Watchtower Society - to many to mention, but one particular doctrine that has left me dumbfounded : their denial of Jesus Christ as mediator to all men - this one left me profoundly sorrowed as there is no Scriptural basis for it. Indeed, this doctrine is un-Christian and has no fundamental basis on the Bible, but rather a man-made doctrine created by the Watchtower's very own Judge Rutherford. What has left me astounded is the fact that the Watchtower Society does not teach Bible students, (unbaptized persons) about this doctrine- I was never taught that Jesus Christ mediated only to the 144,000, sealed, anointed while I was still a Bible student. Why is that? Is it because there is no Scriptural basis for it?

1 CORINTHIANS 7:23:" YOU were bought with a price; stop becoming slaves of men."

1 TIMOTHY 2:5,6:(5) " For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man Christ Jesus,(6):" who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all --- [this is] what is to be witnessed to at its own particular times."

but anytime you ask a question that is unanswerable, you are told to just wait on jehovah.

The love you displayed to your aunt is commendable. What a true friend she really was!

It's so sad that the brothers and sisters gave you a cold reception at the hospital. They profess to know God's personality and yet their acts of un-kindness remind me of the hypocritical Pharisees. Instead of following God's law of love, they adhere to man-made laws created by their masters - the Governing Body.
