hello all my new friends here,.

when i disassociated myself back in 1981, there were only just a couple instances afterwards, where the jdubs came to my door in the service of their ministry.

during those times, i would never ever answer the door.

Finding out Who you really are

good morning everyone,.

i'm very new on here--just "born yesterday", as a matter of fact, but am finding out how wonderful it is to be able to be free to express thoughts and opinions, share ideas, give comfort, and find hope, within "these walls".. i'm going to ask a question, and that is, how long did it take any of you souls out there to find your true self, after leaving jw's?

i was very young when i was first introduced to the studies of jw's.

my personal experience part #1 (very long)

[note: this essay, broken into sections for easier reading, was written as the first part of a three-part essay cycle written for a biography/autobiography writing class that i took so i could get my bachelors in english (with an emphasis in creative writing), thus it was meant for non-jehovahs witnesses.

the three parts were written during the fall 97 semester.

i purposely focused on three major events: 1. the catalyst for my spiritual journey away from the jw.

the un-invitation card tells them not to turn up!.

i've been visiting this site for the last three days and decided to join the group.

i was df in 1965 and to tell you the truth (no pun intended) i don't think i have ever recovered.

Other thoughts: the two witnesses idea

whether the two witnesses to two separate incidences is new or old, it is still a very stupid policy.

let us suppose a child was raped and their parents took the matter to police.

further suppose that the police said, that they couldn't investigate because there had not been any other complaints against the rapist.

how many of you out there remember the cbs 60 minutes program several years ago when correspondent leslie stahl examined the jw child custody issues?

it may well have provided a clue as to how the upcoming dateline segement will play out.

predictably, the society emerged with something of a black eye, especially because of its cowardly refusal to produce even one gb or bethel bigshot spokesman to defend its duplicitous policies.
