  in judaism, only the offended party can forgive you your sin.

  you must make amends or pay a fine.

  that is why murder cannot be forgiven; the deceased is not around to accept your apology or restitution!.

  The ransom sacrifice works very well.

  A man is born and feels no guilt, no shame. As the years pass, his Christian family teach him to be ashamed because he is sinful and imperfect. The only way he can escape this sad condition is to accept the idea of a ransom sacrifice made on his behalf. He will then be shown mercy and be free of sin.

  Alas he is then indebted to the Christian church that helped him strike this priceless bargain and of course to the invisible Christ for whom they claim to act.

  Still better than staying a child of the Devil and living in sin with nothing to look forward to except death and maybe an eternity in Hell depending on how trendy your branch of Christianity is.

  GOD CREATED THE EARTH FOR, ummm, MAN, ummm, DINOSAURS!!

  is there any sensible reply from inerrency addicts concerning the earth being created for man when there is such overwhelming evidence that dinosaurs had the earth to themselves for millions of years?.

  my son is 16 years old.

  he has a teacher at school who tells him god created the earth already "old" and with buried dinosuar bones to test the faith of believers.. this is the demonstration of a crippled intellect!.

  I can see that you have an inquiring mind. No you won’t find this in a book, it was revealed to me in a vision. Before they left, the dinosaurs destroyed all books, other than the Bible.

  The dinosaurs stayed away for a long time but some recently came back disguised as very old humans and founded the Watchtower Society. It was set up to distract people from the truth and perpetuate the myth that mankind is to blame for all the worlds woes.

  Their return has lead to the increase in vegetarians that we see and the no blood policy that is forced Jehovah’s Witnesses.

  Where did they go? That is a divine mystery.

  God was really dinosaur and created the earth and lived here with other dinosaurs that he had fathered.

  After many millions of years, he understandably became bored of eating vegetables and managing without television and invented man to amuse himself. Alas mankind turned out to be a pain in his Megalosaurus. Finally god decided Nodosaurus and wanted out. So he called the whole thing off.

  Before the dinosaurs left they planted the idea that god was fashioned in man’s image so that what followed could be blamed on mankind.

  It got the dinosaurs of the hook and left us with just an ancient book.

  Major Depression

  my name is sharon,and i have a lil sister that just had her husband of 20 years run out on her with out telling her anything,he just packed up and left,and was also late on their morgage for two months 3000 behind,she has her own home daycare but she only had three children in her daycare when he left,she did not know if she was going to have to move or not,and he was steady calling her and messing with her about anything,she is a good person,he put her in a very deep depression,recently she told her family she was hearing voices calling her name out every where she goes,it will start as a whisper,then it would get louder,so we came over and talk with some of the witnesses,we told her to say a loud prayer to jehovah god,and she was also playing the kingdom melodies,and watching a video of a bible study,and she was reading the bible,and while she was doing all that she was still hearing the voices,that made her family think that it was something else wrong with her,she has been trying to get a bible study started and she has it in her heart to learn and serve jahovah god and jesus christ,could some one please help us or tell us what coild be going on if you know anything please because we really love our sister very much,we lost our parents we dont want to lose our sister.

  Depression can be cause by the accumulation of a number of losses. You mentioned losing your parents. Now your sister has just lost her husband, someone she valued.

  We succumb to depression when we lose something or someone we have placed value on. Finding other people to place value on may help, but more importantly she must learn to place more value on herself.

  This all takes time but she has to be honest with herself about what she once shared with her husband and whether this had been lost, causing him to leave? Does she grieve what she once had or what was actually left at the end? Would she want him back?

  She has to face up to the loss and consciously rearrange her values. Constructively talking these things through can be a great help.

  I am 1000 percent certain that there is A GOD. Is He the God of the bible?

  There is no such thing as 1000 percent but once our imaginations run wild with no recourse to reality - I guess it's possible to believe anything!

  Who really invented this rubbish?

  Such a warped view of how humanity came to be is bound to engender guilt and lack of self esteem. Any mature adult who continues to believe in this fairy tale has only themself to blame.

  There are those who rely on such damaged and gullible people to make a living.

  i was always taught as a little child that to be mad at jehovah and jesus was like commiting blaspemy.

  so i held all my anger up until now that i am out of the wts and out of christianity(churches) and i am just furious at jehovah and jesus.

  i think they play many games with people that worship them.

  It all depends which books you read!

  No living person has ever conversed with either of these charachters, although the Bible informs us that are capable of conversing with humans.

  The idea behind this thread is based on what has been gleaned from various books. Books are like words. They can be positive and enlightening or lead us into darkness.

  I never read a book with the idea of believing what I am told. I just read and then ask what provable facts have been presented. When proof is offered belief is redundant. When proof is absent beware!

  Religion is simply a belief system. Schools have not and can not remove religion.

  What they have decided is that school is not the place to be indoctrinated or taught religion. It is for families to make decisions about spiritual matters, leaving schools to teach secular matters.
