i have been away from the jw cult for many years.
i don't have any family i talk to that are in it.
so i don't know if the jws as a whole are seeing the cult fall apart or if they or the majority of them are head in the sand la la la the end is neigh.
What I see is the world falling apart. People play stupid games and they win stupid prizes. Ones in the organization don't do that.

No one works for salvation. Paying for sins by dying is not about trusting Jesus. It is the sentence for sin that we all have. Jesus will fix that during the 1000 year reign. There is no soul continuing on after death regardless.

for years and years growing up in this cult, i had to constantly hear from my parents, from the stage, in the literature, about "keeping your eye simple", not being "materialistic", not "having a showy display of one's wealth.

The apostles and older men there were not acting as a governing body. They were not seeking or making new rules or laws.

that gives you 1 king for every 166,665 persons.
If there are 24 billion people to be resurrected and there are 365,000 days in 1000 year reign, that means that 65,753 people will be resurrected each day. Jesus spreads the work and delegates that to the 144,000 to assist.

he said the united nations has not been living to its potential and they need to get their act together or just dissolve the organization completely.

What is a Watchtower Religion?
from my experience within the jw organization, i understood that salvation meant a person accepted the teachings of the wbts without question as the "faithful and discrete slave," thereby placing their trust in them, not jesus christ.
salvation consisted of being found "righteous" by jehovah and resurrected to everlasting life in an earthly paradise.
to obtain this salvation, one needed to obey the organization's teachings, remain a faithful jw, and lead a moral life.

Why does it matter what the Bible provides as for details?
The reason that they always refer to the Bible is that they need an authority to look to. But yet it's not necessary.
i used to comment here many years ago when i had an interest in biblical research in relation to jehovah’s witnesses.
these days my biblical research is little concerned with jehovah’s witnesses.
i feel my time is better spent researching the diachronistic development of the biblical text and ascertaining what the biblical writers and editors intended in the times in which they lived.. i have recently placed a summary diagram for a paper that i have written with original research entitled the narrative structure of the hexaemeron on academia.edu.

There were no 6 or 8 days of creation.
Moses was given visions of the creation process over 6 of his days. So those 6 days were 24 hours long but each day covered millions of years during those visions. God does not have mornings and evenings or days, but Moses did. It was all written from his perspective.
