You will have to get used to it. If you are disfellowshiped, then they will all shun you. Maybe a few exceptions will nod when they see you, not more. If you are just inactive since a while, some will decide that you should be shunned, just because they dont see you any more at the hall. Some think that they are elders, and decide that you deserve the shunning thing.

Good Looks or Spirituality
by JH innow, lets be honest here.
what were you looking for when you were searching for a wife/husband in the organization?
was it the good looks of the other person, or maybe the spirituality they had, or maybe the good job he or she had?

Now, lets be honest here. What were you looking for when you were searching for a wife/husband in the organization? Was it the good looks of the other person, or maybe the spirituality they had, or maybe the good job he or she had? As witnesses we were encouranged to look for a spiritual spouse, and a person who was busy in the field service. Did you let the elders determine what was the good choice for you? Was it really any of their business what makes you happy?

Will There Be A Final Issue?
by Stephanus inwhat i mean is, we keep seeing new issues emerge which highlight the hypocrisy, and some cases, the downright evil of the wathctower org, such as their fartarsing around with the blood doctrine, the un ngo scandal, ownership of shares in arms manufacturers, the paedophile cover-ups and associating with other religions in order to band together to secure continued "freedom of religion" from worldly governments.
will this steady flow of emabarrassing info about what they are truly about continue, or will it one day stop?
what is likely to be the final issue?

The bigger the organization gets, the more trouble they will have. More scandals will errupt. I also think that free flow of information through the internet will cause them more and more trouble.

new religion?
by freddi inhey all,.
has anyone ever ventured into that world that witnesses call christendom once they stopped attending the kingdom hall?.
i know that i have returned to "my own vomit" as j.w.

I know that active witnesses say that people who quit the TRUTH, don't join any other religion, because they know deep down inside, that it was the only true religion.

Hello Brother, We have 2 sisters that are looking for a husband.
This sister is very spiritual while this one is inactive
Which one would a brother want, an ugly spiritual sister, or a beautyful inactive sister? That could be my next thread...

Unhappy Believers
by JH in.
did you know any brothers and sisters that attend(ed) meetings regularly, but deep inside seem(ed) to be very unhappy about being a witness?
i ask this question because many people are just blind followers, who don't dare question the leaders and follow like sheep.

Animated GIF or JPG Picture, you choose
by JH inwould you like an animated gif rather than a jpg as your profile?
look at this site below.
it offers a huge choice of animated gif .

I agree with you, but you have to admit that a gif is nicer when animated, and yours isn't. Whats the use of having a GIF when not animated. Choose a JPG instead.
My original point I wanted to stress, is that if you save a GIF to your hard disc, then when you upload it, it will not be animated here on this site. Your GIF is probably animated when you look at it on your hard disc. But uploading it like you did, takes away the animation out of it.

I wonder when the United Nations will turn against religions, like we've been taught? It seems more plausible when you see how menacing these religious fanatics could get.

Memorial: Tribute to Jesus, or fashion show??
by WingCommander inwhile i'm not a regular as much as i used to be (maybe get to the hall 10 times a year), i always give praise and thanks to jehovah and his son jesus as requested in the bible on the appropriate day.
i have never missed a memorial.
whether or not i agree with everything the gb or watchtower puts out or says, is irrelevant.
-
JH
I agree with you totally WingCommander. I also go to the hall maybe 5 times a year, and I notice those new cars and nice suits. When I listen to the old timers in that religion, they say that it wasn't that way at first, when they started. There was real love, and NO materialism. Today, I think things are out of hand, and they are just like wordly people, in many domains. You are right when you say new people come in jeans and they feel like second class people. They will learn very fast that jeans has no place in Jehovah's organization. Would Jesus go to meetings all dressed up like that? He would say, it's whats in your heart that counts, not the way you dress, or the fancy car you have.
