  Empathizing with JW Kids

  for those of us who grew up as jw kids, the life as a jw child is often time very difficult.

  while we are out of wt and we can talk politcs and take sides unlike before, i can't help but feel for the jw kids who are in school.

  as the nationlism increases with the kids being assigned to write to the national guard guys from their town, it is like hell for the poor jw child who has no idea of why he can't wish a man a safe return to his family.. .

  Dear JT: I did not grow up a J-dud but my little girl did. Fortunately she 'saw' through the BS and would not go along in her teens. I have custody and she is free to live her life as she wishes. Her Dud mother tries to lay guilt on her but the girl is over it. I do feel I cheated her out of some things but she seems not to hold it against me. She knows I was a dud and that says it all! I feel for you guys, you were robbed! Life it hard enough on the young without being put under a magnifying glass! Maverick

  Why Do JWs Come Here to Debate?

  what motivates jws to engage in a debate with former jws?

  this question is something i have written about in years past and my hope is that it will provide some insight to the newbies.

  Dear Victor_E: I am impressed! One of the things I liked about being a J-dud was the mental challenge of giving talks. Many a brother would confess that they hated going up to the platform after me. A tough act to follow was the phrase I heard many times. Very few J-duds impressed me or showed much intellect. But here, I feel like the dumest guy in the room! Gamaliel, Blondie, Blackguard, you and many others impress the hell out of me. I leave this site thinking. I love to check this site in the morning because it will give me food for thought all day. One of the reasons I am active in Mensa is for the mental stimulation. If you're not members you all should be!... Humbled in your presence. Maverick

  one of the 'problems' i had before blackguard deprogrammed me was i could not reconcile the actions of the j-dud masters with a loving god.

  i felt if god was with these people i did not want to live in any new system under this power structure.

  if god was as phoney, vengeful, and petty a person as his faithful and discreet slave was i was better off dead.

I felt if God was with these people I did not want to live in any New System under this power structure. If God was as phoney, vengeful, and petty a person as His Faithful and Discreet Slave was I was better off dead. I felt He held a death threat over my head, love me or I will kill you. Now I know that thinking is from the heart of the evil false god of the WatchTower Masters and I am at peace with the True God. Did anyone else have a problem with living in a New System under these hypocrites? Maverick

  Dear Vic: What lie? Being an active J-dud and supporting their delusion is living the lie. Many of the members 'know' it is BS. They go along anyway, they are the losers.

  I didn't care and kicked those J-duds in the shins, but that's my style. They were going to DF me for a little incident regarding the virtue, or lack there of, of a certain sister. I wrote the Baptisim Nullification letter, raised hell, and they DA'd me as an unbaptized publisher. If they had not started the investgation process I would not have moved on them first.

  i'm currently reading a book called "the portable jefferson.

  " it has only the briefest of jefferson's biography (a mere 41 pages), with the bulk of its nearly 600 pages devoted to copies of jefferson's speeches, and letters.

  Thank you Blondie: I do look forward to your synopsis of the WatchTower! What a load of guilt riddled crap! What did they really say? Nothing but... do more! No excuses! And who buys this load of dodo? The honest hearted ones who do love Christ and are trying their best. The phoney Witnesses are fine with their own reasonings and don't care. They will pay lip service to this 'encouragement' but that's all. The GB just pile it on and load down the meek and turn their heads so as not to see the burden they put on the weary.
