  Quality Of Life Musings..

  when we were witnesses, we didn't worry much about the quality of our lives.

  we were concerned for our survival, and for the survival of our loved one's, but we didn't pay much attention to our own personal happiness, believing that our desires for material things and delights were satanic in origin.. things are different now though!

  after i departed the jw's it took me many years to appreciate that being in a loving relationship with a special person, is not, in itself, enough, whether that "special person" is our god or our lover, and that there was much more required in our lives before we can feel a sense of contentment.

  Spirit Forces

  does any of the stuff david blane has done (i think this guy is the real deal) or any other magician renew your belief in angels/demons/ghosts if you had lost it after leaving the borg?

  has a physhic or other spirit medium ever convince you that someone you knew or loved has crossed over to the otherside?

  have you ever encountered anything nonhuman?

  Theocratic School Talks, they were the worst ! hated doing them, did you ?

  remember back to the days you were in the theocratic school and had to give talks, were they the worst or what, i remember they were suppose to run about 6-8 minutes, i had some short as 3. the talks were pointless, you would just throw some mumble jumble together and go up and talk, first the introduction (and don't forget your gestures), then read the weekly scripture and then the conclusion, all your words of wisdom.

  i would rank this second on the worst list next to field service (still # 1).. how about you, did you enjoy doing them ?

  The Special Dubs

  are all jw who were born before 1930 considered anointed or just some?

  did charles taze russell at one point not say he was the only one going to heaven?

  i've looked through the proclaimers book but can't seem to find the explantation as to why the special class believe they're special.

  Did you lose respect for your parents because of the JW / Watchtower crap ?

  this is probaly one of my biggest problems i dealt with growing up in the jw crap.. it's no fun growing up alone.. i am sorry, but i hated my parents (probaly from the time i was 13), i know that is mean and a terrible thing to say, but that's how i felt.

  i had no respect for them growing up in the borg.

  they taught me nothing about ................. having a relationship/dating.

  for those of you who believe in god, and i know this may sound like a silly question, but what was he doing before he created jesus, the first thing he ever made.

  we're talking an eternity here.

  June 27th was...

  ...my ten year anniversary of having made my stand.

  i left my parents' home and the jws on june 27, 1993. .

  also, a little announcement: hubby and i are expecting our second bebe in march.

  does anyone know if the society keeps a library of publications dating from the late 1800's into the early 1900's and whether or not bethelites have access to them?

  Explain this to me

  i'm new here.. i would like to question those who tend to disagree with jw teachings, but still seem to believe in christianity and refer to god as jehovah.

  i always told myself that if i were to ever leave i'd stay out of religion all together, because if this isn't the truth than nothing is.

  christianity in today's society is so warped that it's not even funny.
