"Perverting the scriptures daily"

here is a fun challenge!.

try and come up with a humorous twist on a scripture.... eg, i have always loved:.

Who was your favourite Jesus?

i think my favourite portrayal of jesus was lothaire bluteau in " jesus of montreal" .

thats also my reccomendation for a great movie.. anyway it would be fun to compile a list of actors, that have portrayed jesus and how it effected our perception of jesus..

to watch the "passion play"?

i have visited the town near christmas time and it's gorgeously decorated etc..... wondered if anyone went to see the famous play at all.. just a little bit of information as well.

councillors in oxford recently, banned the reinactment of this play, as the thought it was going to be a sex show.

I think Robert Powell was good but then again, I don't know anyone else who played him. Amazing eyes!!

I've been informed that the actor who played him in "The Passion of the Christ" was also good.

i went to a small non-denominational church yesterday - first time in a church since i left the borg 4 years ago - and this is how i observed several of the members singing.. .

boy... do those people love to sing.. .

i try not to judge the sincerity of others but i was a little put off by the experience because it looked fake, showy display-ish.

There are some real little songbirds in my church and the kids love it, of course. We do a mix of traditional hymns and modern songs. It takes a bit of getting used to but it's uplifting and fun.

I know a pioneer couple who are both on benefits. The wife is the "carer". The guy has lots of health problems ie; high cholesterol, diabetes BUT these problems could be solved if he lost weight - he's a greedy bugger!!!!
