WT October 15, 2015 - Don't believe Apostate Lies
by Designer Stubble inthe last article in this new wt, shows me that the organization is dealing with much information that is damaging them.
i am sure that the many recent lawsuits are being noticed by the r&f.. here are some gems from that article, titled the naive person believes every word.
we must be very selective about what we consider worthy of our attention.

Damage control? Isn't damage control done after the fact? Well indeed it is in a way, but you know this article was not published yesterday. Expect more and worst news coming down the pipe. -

The Weed AMONG the wheat ..NOT.."the weed overgrowed the wheat" Misunderstood parabel about anointed and about Gods patience
by TheWonderofYou inreferring to tim3l0rd who posted 12 days ago following message (see below) and the postings in which the "scattered" non organised anointed from 100 ce - 1900 ce are discussed, and the parabel of the weed among the wheat, i found out that it is not necessary at all that a "slave class" of anointed does itself distincts frome the weed , founds a new separated church, declares itself clean and holy, and begins a denunciating and destructive unnecessary harvesting.
the slave class of anointed should have better remained in the church and waited for jesus judgement.basis: .
tim310rd wrote: this goes along with the 2013 wt that changed the definition of the fdsl.

Besides, to consider that the absolute or relative size of the growth means something at all, is going back to the type-antitype issue, which they just discarded. So in essence, "truths" that were revealed as "new light" as little as 2 years ago is no longer valid. -

It could be, but I would not be surprised if they are just looking to have an overpopulation of volunteers. In my short experience with construction projects, there is never enough help. They will never stop recruiting. They want to build as fast as possible. Gives a chance to make them feel unimportant. No one in my cong can say that the job would not be completed without them. -

W 15 july - members of others religions not destroyed???
by paradisebeauty inplease tell me what do you understand from this quote that is taken from w july 2015, the article your deliverance is close paragraph 5.. i understand that not all members of other religions will be destroyed at armageddon.
i talked to a jw.
he says he understands differently: they will not be destroyed when the babylon the great will be destroyed but they will be destroyed in armageddon.

It has bien written before that just like when then Israelites left Egypt, some from other religions may join Jehovah's people at the last minute. However, they've always stopped short of asserting that such individuals had any guarantees of survival. You are gonna have to trust me on this one because I don't have any magazines to quote but I do remember this.
I do understand from that article and others from before, that we can not expect to see Babylon the great destroyed completely. Not physically. To destroy it completely, you would expect to see its leadership destroyed as well as every member. Would it mean every member will be killed? Not so, the so called "destruction" could come in the shape of removal of power or authority, or any other form of removing its influence over the world

WT April 15, 2015... Odd first paragraph
by StarTrekAngel inflipping thru the pages of the april 15 wt study edition, i bumped into something that strikes me as odd.
not that the wt never publishes odd things, but usually such comes in the form of misapplied scripture or hidden second meanings.
i've never paid attention before but to me this is the first time i see a whole paragraph with no bible verses to read.. in the article tiled "always trust in jehovah!

Thanks all for the pointers. Would be nice for the WT to point those out as well. Many will believe the bible says this things. -

I've never paid attention before but to me this is the first time I see a whole paragraph with no bible verses to read.
In the article tiled "Always Trust in Jehovah!" the first paragraph reads...
IT WAS a dangerous time to be a Christian in Rome. Blamed for setting fire to the city in 64 C.E. and accused of hating mankind, Christ’s followers were objects of intense hostility. If you were a Christian back then, you would daily face the possibility of being arrested and tortured. Some of your spiritual brothers and sisters might have been torn to pieces by animals or nailed to a stake and burned alive to serve as nighttime illumination.
Can someone please point me to the bible verse that shows this? Where does it say that dead Christians were used to light the city? I do understand that such may have been the practice of the time, but I think that is no reason to print this as if it was guaranteed that it happened.
Another interesting thing is the Spanish translation. The English version read "...accused of hating mankind..." while the Spanish version read "...se les acusa de odiar a la gente..." . Literally translated it would read " they were accused of hating people". Not sure how they translate this stuff... mankind and people are comparable but the accuracy of the translation would altered by the use of two different words. Which one, not sure... but they should have stuck to the same word in every case.

Joining another cult... is it an option? Your thoughts..
by StarTrekAngel ini've just finished reading "freedom of mind" today.
meditating over the many things i've read, one chapter of the book talks about how there could be a situation where more than one family member may have joined one cult, while another member may have joined another one.
it mentions the possibility of using one family member against the other in order to bring them both to questions their own cults.. this hit me home as i had been thinking if joining a cult would be a good idea.

This hit me home as I had been thinking if joining a cult would be a good idea. I know Mr Hassan has said before that comparing cults is a good way to wake up a loved one. However, in many cases is difficult to get a loved one to get them into such comparison debate when they have their guard high up. Chances are they will figure it out. But what about if you joined another cult? What if you get crafty and pretend like you are innocently falling for another group. I mean begin attending their meetings and participating in their rituals, provided you don't join anything crazy. My hope would be that they will come immediately concerned and would have to put their thinking to the test. They will try to talk you out of it and in the process, potentially wake up?
Any comments?

I know that the "boring" thing would work with my kids just fine. They already know is boring. They sure would be shocked if they ever learned that I've decided to stop attending meeting. But their question would come more from a perspective of "can we do the same then?"
