SIMON- I agree that people should avoid opening themselves up to defamation lawsuits ; that being said if a preponderance of evidence is there in certain situations of child abuse ( as was the case in the 16 out of court settlements in California last year ) then by all means the victims and their families should pursue getting justice done in their personal cases.

Simon, do you know , or does anybody else know on the board if the alleged 23,000 pedophiles on the societies database were just numbers taken from the United States witness population , or was it taken from the worldwide witness population ? I might have to PM Barbara Anderson to get verification on the figures. Thanks

I agree with Simon too ,taking the emotion out of thinking what to do and being strategic is a better way to go .Like taking a deep breath ,pausing and then making a decision , a decision that will not later turn into the perpetrator and their help coming back at you legally and abusing the victim all over again. My wifes case is finished now thru the legal system and though she closed the case against her father she has grown into a happier woman and wife. I won't say anything here as to why she chose to close the case for she wants that kept to herself and me . But she used all the help from the government she could and we thanked them for their efforts .What did she gain from her exposing her father who used to be an elder? A; Her dignity and self worth B: Courage to stand up for herself C: Confirmation that she is in control NOT the abuser any more. D: By not telling the court and the abuser and his laywer why she dropped the case ,she has gained power over her abuser and the rest of the family ,for she has exposed him and is now in control of her life and what happens in it. E: Since 90% get off she has saved herself grief from cross examination yet she has had total control of the proceedings ,exposed him to local JW's and it cost him a lot of money. F: The situation caused the rest of the family to take sides and you know there was not one that backed her even though some were abused too they went against my wife to her face ,so she now has the clarity of knowing what they really are as people ,and has moved on. These are some of the gains but most importantly for her was the exposing of the Watchtower society and her leaving an organisation that perpetuated her abuse by their inaction ,protection and hiding of him within the ranks of Jehovahs Witnesses. What can we do to expose these abusers? Have they really got away with It? Well this is what my wife has done ,it has caused many JW's to look into their own hearts upon hearing of the case and they have stayed in despite knowing her beautiful nature and the truth ,maybe the fruits will come from this. No he did'nt get away with it ,he'll be tormented the rest of his days that he can't control her with the assistance of the family and the Society ,for he is living a lie and can never respect himself yet my wife CAN. It would be nice to have a place to name these creatures but the reality is each one must make rational decisions on how to help protect others , my wife chose her way which has helped in healing her life and that is more important than hurting him as much as possible. I'm not as strong as her at times I guess, as I fantasize the obliteration of these filth perhaps taking Gods sword of vengeance and smiting them . Her families loss is my gain in being married to a beautiful person ,which is more than I can say for them ,and they have had the warning now to protect their children . Still it would be nice to paint his crime and his name on a couple of Kingdom Halls LOL ....but the silly bastards there would think it was satan eh

I think you will have to contact Barbara Anderson. I understand that she came across this data when she was a researcher at Bethel, researchng some of the articles on child abuse as well.

Having the individuals brought up on charges is certainly the best way to expose these creeps, the problem arises though

that many of these events occurred 10 , 20 years ago or more so to create a successful prosecution is very difficult but not impossible, it can be done.

There have been Catholic priests that have gone to jail decades after the fact.

It might not be that difficult when you consider that the elders that the individual confessed to could be summoned to court

to testify. Maybe someone should start an association of people that have been abused by JWS, similar to Silent Lambs, but more set on legal advise and support. ?

WOZADUMMY- What an inspirational experience you described about your wife ! You are a lucky man to have such a jewel as a person for a wife ! I'm happy for you. I'm so sorry she went through that abuse . I think she handled it in the best way possible. Thanks for sharing this. HOMEROVAH- I like your idea about getting a group together who could give legal advice and support to those who want to expose some witness pedophiles . As opposed to just receiving emotional support. It is in the courtrooms where battles will have to be won if any headway is to be made in bringing these pedophiles to justice ! This is a perfect example of self appointed therapists and do-gooders potentially causing more harm than good.

Flipper: Are you personally prepared to pay for the therapy that is likely going to be needed after a 'recommended' confrontation? Each person with the help of PROFESSIONALS need to determine best measures for them to deal with their abuse. Some lambs CHOSE to be silent rather than reliving the abuse in the form of a suit or confrontation.

Your naive recommendation about exposing "alleged' pedophiles is just plain dumb legally and ethically regardless how well intentioned. There are plenty of professional sites in existence to expose tried and sentenced.

Obviously more self help books and episodes of Dr. Phil are needed.

Go crazy offering your version of 'support' but for your and more importantly the safety of vulnerable ones, stay away from therapy and giving advice on that which you have no credentials.

There are plenty of professional sites in existence to expose tried and sentenced.

What Flipper is talking about is exposing and bringing to Justice those perpetrators that have not been brought to justice, who may have gotten off by just being DF for a little while

While the victims go on suffering for the most of their lives , these sick A-holes smile all the way to the Kingdom hall, knowing they committed a grievous crime and

never had to pay a harsh penalty for their actions.......do you not think that there is something wrong here ?

For many years now the JWS have said that they are not like the wicked organizations of Satan's Christendom, well guess what they are exactly like those wicked

organizations, both are guilty of trying to cover themselves with a white sheet in view of the public.

Exposing the pedophiles has also the effect of exposing the organization too, which I think is a good thing.
