  I applaud your decision to present yourself as an unbeliever. I, too, have decided to leave things unsaid rather than to lose my relationship with my parents. It's a decision I've never regretted. I lost my dad last year. We were at peace with my decision not to follow the religion. He didn't like it but he respected my right to make it. And we were close right up to the end. It's NOT being a coward. It's showing love! Keep doing what you're doing. I do believe that you will win your daughters over. They WANT to be with their dad again. The day is coming Mr Flipper! I KNOW it is!!

  Sad, but your daughter has already demonstrated where her loyalties lie and it's not with her own flesh and blood. Getting DF'd after fading depends largely on what sort of elder body you have. In some areas, they just leave you alone as long as you don't make trouble. In other areas, they'll hunt you down no matter how long it's been since you went, and read you the riot act. If you fail to show the proper worship attitude, you'll get The Axe.

  If you want to avoid getting DF'd, I would not speak to any elder about anything doctrinally related, even if it's to only one of them. If they need 'two eye witnesses' to your 'apostasy', they could still get this with two seperate visits by individual elders---it doesn't have to be in front of both of them at the same time.
