SCOTT 77- I agree. I don't think the elder who called was a serious threat. I think I scared him off by exposing things I know about the WT organization ! LOL ! But good news- my daughter has written me two times in the last couple months since he called on me. So, it's a start. As long as we can communicate without JW hindrances, hopefully I can rekindle our relationship . Thanks

SNOOZY- Two months and no return visit yet ! Isn't that cool ? I don't want him coming back anyway. I'm sure I've been marked for over 7 years now ! LOL ! I wear my marking as a badge of honor. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

I havn't read every page of this thread Flip but if you want to vent to elder 1 again fine. Don't do the same to an elder 2 or 3 though even on there own. They would gang up even though these conversations happened separately. The guy you talked to sounds like he was not litigious but when push comes to shove he would probably testify rather than be disloyal. If he is the only witness there is no case.
I hope things warm up with your daughter my friend, family is what life is about.

SLIDIN FAST- Thanks for your response. Sorry for the two day delay in responding- I didn't know your post had been added. Been too busy to check ! I don't think I'd even vent or talk about anything with elder # 1 again, let alone ANY other elders from this local congegation in my area. I don't even KNOW them and I've never attended any meetings here in the almost 6 years I'ved lived here ! I've not attended in seven and a half years !
I'd rather stay off the radar actually. If the original elder calls back on me ( which I doubt as it's been over 2 months since he came by ) I'll just explain to him that if I have any questions I need answered I'll talk to my JW dad or older brother and they'll answer them for me. That way local JW elders won't bother me here where I live. Things have improved a little with my daughter. At least we are writing to each other now in letters or cards. So I will continue this slow progress. Proceed with caution is my theory. Thanks

flipper,
I'm new so I don't know a lot of the history of the folks here, but this thread was REALLY powerful (tho I didn't have the time to read all 10 pages!). It's simply great that you've established contact again with your daughter(s). I'm curious and have only a partial picture of your situation. If you weren't DFed, then why has your daughter & other family members cut you off so? Did you somehow 'beat the rap' or what? Is it just b/c you know some of the underhanded actions of the WTS and shared them with your daughter?
Perhaps you have somewhere else (on another thread?) related your story. If so, would you kindly refer me to it? I'm so new that I don't have PM privileges here yet, I guess.
Again, cheers on your success!
