There are many more like me as you mentioned who are suffering alienation from their family ( not of their own choice ) just because we all differ with the opinions of a man made organization. TASTING FREEDOM- I will be careful my friend. I'm not going to speak about ANY JW things with any elders who call OR my daughter at this point. If the elders call back on me I'll just tell them, " Thanks for being so concerned, but my dad & older brother have been elders for years and if I need to talk, I'll talk with them. They have answered some of my questions and it's helped me. " And I'll LEAVE it at that. My lips are sealed to any elders except my dad & brother. I will stay on non-JW topics with my daughter for sure. Look forward to seeing you and your family as well at Tahoe !

I've always TRIED to be a loving guy - it's just that I have the " Rodney Dangerfield " syndrome after I exited the Witnesses " I get NO respect " as Rodney used to say . Not even from my daughters. Cheese, that's stupid. People who lost everything and everyone they loved are hardly going to be interested in going to a meeting.

'Sides, most of them are Shinto, anyway and are probably bizzy with their own way of worship right now.

WATSON- I agree with you. Most of us weren't allowed to voice our opinions when we were Witnesses- so freedom of speech is a good thing on the board here. Even eggheads like eggnog.

WHITE DOVE- I agree with you. People in Japan won't be interested in going to meetings at all. Jesus Christ- they are interested in just surviving wondering where their next meal or warm blanket will come from to keep children and elderly warm. Eggnog's full of Tabasco sauce. Or himself, whichever comes first
