I have a feeling he will tell your daughter not to call.

That's bad Mr Flipper. WT has become more crazy these "last days" and I hope they will not mess with you. I know they had recently disfellowshiped people just because they didn't vow loyalty the Organization.

    Keep in touch...

Does that really work, the "need 2 witnesses" angle? You can say anything as long as there is only 1? I 've never heard that before.

    Anyway, good luck Flipper!

He said, " Well - blood transfusions or fractions are a conscience matter now. " Incredible.

So he says blood transfusions are a conscience matter now also! That's news to me.

Then again I haven't been to meeting since last night, things change fast in JW land!

FHN, I don't think Flipper has much to lose in what he said. The daughter minimized the contact already.

Flipper, just this week, my wife tells me that "John," one of the elders wanted to know if it was okay to call on me. I asked her how long ago he asked. She said a couple of weeks ago, but she forgot. I said "I don't see any purpose in it, NO." That was the end of that. I imagine it was an obligation to clear up a mark on the C.O.'s checklist: "Call on inactives like Bro. OTWO."

In your case, you have some chance at some contact with your daughter, and turning the elders around can make matters worse. I would probably consider being polite no matter who shows up, but be busy or do as suggested- talk fluff, unless it's just the one guy.

I imagine their attempts will be short lived. They really have no answers and just go through the motions. If it weren't for a favor to your daughter, most of your concerns about WTS would have ended the discussion or at least killed the possibility of making you into a return visit.

Well I hope it does motivate your daughter to call you . You did very well speaking with him. I just hope it doesn't lead to them hasseling you .

    FLIPPER:

I am proud of you and I think you did well. I like that you covered ALL the bases and the big topics of the religion and that you made this guy think. I am so glad you rubbed it in when you mentioned that the guys at the top want to keep the game going...because they are getting free lodging, medical, etc. GOOD FOR YOU FOR SAYING THIS because it is true.

Possibly this elder will not come back because it is obvious you are not interested, OR he will come back with somebody else as a witness. In that case, you make sure you do what you promised and let the other guy wait in the car. Don't let these people disrespect you in your own home. I thought you were disfellowshipped (?) If you are, then you are OUT so it wouldn't matter what you said to any of them.
