Ohio i really felt your pain when reading about losing your beloved pet! I was in tears. I lost my dog ''Gertie'' 6 years ago and there's not a day that goes by without me filling up and missing her... I am comforted in the fact that the ''Most Holy one of Isreal'' will return the earth to it's former state and i will have Gertie back. For the moment you have your memories and if it helps look at some photos and cry until you can cry no more. To cry and release that emotion is very healing. No one on here thinks your stupid, all those that have loved and lost pets know the pain you are enduring and can totally emphathize.

HI waterspout, I expect if I personally knew Shelby I would like her too, I'm drawn to kind & gentle people.

It's the implications of her personal experience & what she said on this board that makes me uncomfortable. Anyone who makes a claim as hers must expect to be tested........I do not mean persecuted just tested as to the truth of what they are saying.

She did get annoyed with me though didn't she.............

I am very defensive of Shelby, she is a treasure.

Someone once gave me some invaluable advice. ''Never judge someone on what you think they are, get to know that person as you may be surprised''.

She may have got annoyed with you, but you did insult her wishes of ''peace''... She only wants people to be happy and she does love everyone. You have to admit if everyone love each other this earth would be a wonderful place to live... We only get one chance at this life so we should all make it count with the love we show towards one another.

    Peace

i don't think i want to live in a world where everyone would cast their peace and love upon me. sounds like the stepford wives... creepy.

No it would be much better to live in a world where evil and damnation is wished!

no... i wouldn't like that either. it just makes me feel kinda uncomfortable when someone adds (peace to you!) here and there. reminds me of the invisible pink unicorn.

i prefer people who genuinely like me to treat me well, but they don't have to peace on me all the time. the rest may be nice too, but they can also keep their piece to themselves.

Ohio Cowboy, sorry for your loss a year ago I had 4 cocker spaniels they were all 10 years old.

I lost two of them within 6 months.

Its the worse thing to ever happen in my life, worse than when my father died.

And I have two more that will die in the future.

My personal belief is when I die I will be reunited with my loved ones. I dont need an organized religion to approve or dissapprove

my personal beliefs. People cant agree on anything.

I knew when I got my dogs they would die and break my heart.

I also know that this is a world of loss and sooner or latter we loose everything we love.

If you want to be a survivor you have to step over the bodies.

Find another dog to love, youll be doing yourself and the dog a favor. You will love the dog and the dog

will love you. When your taking care of your new dog you wont have as much time to mourn your dog who died.

You will never forget your lost dog. But you will have a purpose and meaning in taking care of your new dog.

THe new dog will fill your heart with love and keep it from breaking.

You cant have joy with out having pain and loss, Thats life.

And as far as I can tell the only way God will help you is if you ask him for the strength to live another day.

Live one day at a time.

In this world everything dies, dogs only life 7 to 15 years.

I do my best to enjoy this life fully and tell myself when I die I will be reunited with my loved ones in a better life.

We become what we think about and the things we think about end up happening.

If you allow yourself to die of a broken heart there will be other dogs who need your love who will die also. Everybody looses.
