  SBF: yah, but from hitlers perspective the jews were evil and he did the world a lot of good by gassing so many of them. You wrote the most important part is which perspective is useful, and that perspective was certainly useful to him.

  So is the most important part of hitlers perspective if it was true or useful? I mean its either or.

  you are the one who advocate there is not a "true" perspective wrt. the earth; but when it suit you you change vocabulary and insist there is a true perspective wrt. hitler (which just happens to be yours)

  It is like the o (zero) thickness membrane of an expanding balloon.

  a ballon expanding in a space called TIME, expanding into time,

  expanding because the membrane is absorbing radiant energy given off by a person in the room thought of as the creator cum owner.

  The flatlanders living in the membrane can not see/comprehend the domain of the creator, because their vision, outlook is only along the plane of the membrane and not into the room, space.

  Some people call the creator "--God--", but he,she did not ask for that. (to not stray from the G topic), did not ask for it because he is not talking,

  "he just exists" : cofty.

  I used to believe in God. After leaving the Witnesses I tried the "traditional" Christian route but soon discovered it was full of evidentiary data. I also realized that we humans seemed to always find a way to fit God into any situation. If someone was in a serious accident and suffered no harm, then God protected them. If they were seriously injured but survived then God was "not ready for them yet." If they died as a result of the accident then "God took them."

  The more I looked at things objectively the more it showed that the world operates as it should if no supreme deity existed.

  I believe in a deity... but a do not know exactly who he is or what he want or if he really cares. The book that showed us is becoming more and more of a sham but I can not change the fact that there must be "something" that is much much much more intelligent.

  Maybe it is wishfull thinking... I just don't know. Funny thing though is that I am not confused... I will just wait and see since I can not judge what I do not know

  Bad language aside you make very good points. As a woman I hate the scripture in 1Cor 14:34 that says women should be silent, anyone who calls themselves Christian and follows that scripture is a sexist pig in my opinion.

  Thank you so much for all your involvement on this thread. Your example is wonderful, and your comments are logical. You do really well when others try to shoot you down. It never works, you always prevail.

  Just ignore cofty, I ignored his comment about you. I asked him a question of his own but he decided to try and discredit you which he did not, I have read too many of your posts for him to be able to do that.

  As I stated in my OP, I believe in God, but I think he ignores my prayers. What is your opinion?

  If cofty tries to answer for you again we can just laugh together, I have given him his question again. Hhahahaha!

  He is whats is known as diffusing, as he can't answer my question in my opinion.
